it's being speculated that the FOX shows will be the numbered, PPV-quality. FX will get some of the Fight Night quality shows, because the contracts with Spike and Versus are ending very soon. Maybe even some Countdown/Unleashed/Knockouts shows on FX/Fuel.

Here's the breakdown of the huge news release today:

7 years, no price named but the FOX guy said he "wished it was only 90Million/year"

4 PPV quality shows on FOX per year
6 Fight Night level shows on FX per year
Two Seasons of TUF per year on FX.

TUF is being completely re-tooled. Before, it was 6 weeks of filming, then months later the show would come out. Now, it's 12 weeks of filming and will be live or psuedo-live. Shows on Friday will detail everything that has happened over the last week of real-time, with a live fight finishing off the show every friday. We'll also get to see the live aftermath of the fight (cageside reactions from coaches, Dana, etc). Fan voting will determine the matchups. Coaches will actually train during the 12 weeks and their fight will come only a week after TUF finishes, so the 12 weeks will be their actual training camp for their big fight as well. All in all, TUF actually sounds pretty awesome.

All in all, there will be 32 events per year on FX. 24 (two seasons of 12) weekly episodes of TUF with a live fight, two Finale cards, and 6 Fight Nights. Combined with the big FOX cards, this is THIRTY SIX WEEKS PER YEAR WITH FREE MMA ON FOX OR FX AAAAAWWWWWWWWW YEEEEEEAAAAAAAA.

Fuel will get stuff like Unleashed, Knockouts, maybe some live Prelims.

The entire production is still in the UFC's control, but is being overhauled. The gladiator intro is dead. Dana said everything, even PPVs, are being looked at as a fresh start.

First event is on November 12th on FOX, no names attached yet. Speculation is that they might put Brock on the card.

Joe Rogan wore a suit and looked like he hated it.

Also, Dana answered direct questions from Josh Gross and Loretta Hunt like a civilized adult, which means the world is ending.

wanted to thank those thats gave anatta some more info on that big heavyweight thing. agree that most all good potential 300lb+ fighters are in other sports. still think, assuming decent chin, that a shaq type guy like 7'3'' 330, if trained since he was a kid, could kick ass and not sure why there is a limit anyways. tim sylvia when he was on roids he was a world champ and he is pretty soft imo. just take it to the next level u know "tim sylvia on steriods" on steroids...

All but 4 bouts are Brazil vs World, and every fight on either spike or PPV is brazil vs world. 3 of the facebook fights are brazil vs brazil, and one is canada vs usa.

rogan couldn't travel, filming fear factor. rio crowd is nuts for sure. Wait until we actually get to the big 'brazilian vs foriegner' fights and see how loud it gets.

Thiago dominated the fight but just never impresses me. He seems to always do just enough against fighters worse than him and then loses to everyone that is more skilled.
