Unbiased statement of course...
This weak ass post would definitely get yellow carded under PRIDE rules.

Hahahahah Bisping just got it worse than when Henderson gave it to him.

Replay confirms the view that refs are terrible.

Pretty gross how he allowed those blows to the head on the ground.

It did look bad but Bisping recovers really well, ref may have given him more leeway than he would to other fighters. Hope Bisping just takes one more easy fight in Manchester and then has enough sense to quit. He's going to keep getting KO'd if he is fighting top (or even semi top) guys.

Can't believe Bisping even took the fight after getting KOed against GSP a few weeks ago.

Bisping was a UFC Champion. Still having trouble letting that sink in.

Do several fighters have to die for MMA promotions and officials to act responsibly? It's ridiculous that the UFC could so brazenly circumvent Bisping's medical suspension. No concern for fighter safety.

There was no circumventing. NYSAC had reduced his medical suspension to seven days.

He was lucky that night against a Rockhold that didnt take him seriously. But he does deserve more respect imo

I think the real concern is weight-cutting, seeing as how several fighters have reportedly died from it. And no gloves is another good one I think. It will help with the grappling and cause less punch-related injuries because then fighters will have to take care of not injuring their hands, lol. As opposed to gloves with essentially casts, lol.

US commissions are never okaying non-glove MMA.

Why not? They know that it would make it safer since fighters wouldn't be given these artificially created hammers and it would simulate real combat better, lol.

No gloves= fighters fighting with their palms instead of throwing punches, go watch some old school pancrase, Bas Rutten still was knocking fools out without throwing fist, pretty cool actuslly.

No gloves is an idea that always seems nice until you realize it means no punching at all. Guys aren't going to go out and break their hands every night.

There's a reason 1900's boxing matches went 75+ rounds.

I was going to suggest that they probably didn't fight so often back then, but I seem to recall Bob Fitzsimmons fighting about 100 times. I can't get my head around being able to do that without gloves.

Use the One fc weight cutting rules, assuming they still use the ones that were on their site less than a year ago, and use Pride style mma gloves

Bisping obviously knew what he was doing, got paid pretty well to save the card I'm sure. And he isn't ever getting back in title contention anyway.

It isn't like he's some young fighter that UFC is putting in a tough spot and leveraging. He made his decision to get in there vs Gastelum for a payday.

Surprised Ngannou is only -190 vs Reem, feels like he puts him to sleep with Reem having an iron chin and Ngannou having lead pipes for hands.

No one at HW can have an iron chin with the hammers you get hit with.

As far as weight cutting id love to see some kind of USADA style weight monitoring. Once you sign a contract for a fight you are subject to suprise weigh ins and you can only weigh in at most 10 pounds over the weight limit for the weight class you are fighting in.

For the most part the same people will be fighting each other just at a different weight class.

Lol Reem has a chin made of chocolate, touch it and he melts.

Also he doesn't like getting punched in the face so much that he almost turtles like Brock.

Clearly meant to say a soft chin, not sure why I said iron. But reading the sentence back you can tell that is what I meant to say. Whoops.

It has been worn down through the years like Chucks because he has been stopped many times, lol. Remember when Chuck had an iron chin and then in his last fight Rich Franklin knocked him out with a punch using his broken arm, lol?

And running is a perfectly legit defense as long as you reset, lol. Look at Khalib Starnes vs Nate Quarry as an example of what not to do, lol. Alexander Gustafsson did it against Jon Jones (the right way) and didn't really get any flack, lol.

Bellator match ups set in the over 40 HW tournament.

Quinton Jackson vs. Chael Sonnen Jan.20

Fedor Emelianenko vs. Frank Mir Feb.16

Matt Mitrione vs. Roy Nelson TBA

Ryan Bader vs. Muhammed Lawal TBA

Jackson is the only guy in this tournament Sonnen can beat and vice versa. Neither has a prayer in this thing but I guess Sonnen wins this one with wrestling if he bothers to train.

Fedor should be too fast for Mir but Fedor's recent horrible fight IQ is going to be a problem now that his chin is going.

Mitrione beats Nelson. Bader beats Lawal and should win tourney if he is careful.
