Supposedly Diaz turned down 155 saying they wanted 165. UFC tried 160 but they stood firm then McGOAT said "Make it 170," "Tell him to get comfortable.".

Boxers wear headguards and use heavier gloves when sparring. Would it really be so detrimental to their preparation if MMA fighters wore similar gear?

Diaz is a 155r and won't be much bigger than him (if at all) they've made it 170 so Diaz doesn't have to cut much weight in a short space of time. It's a different story if he's in against Robbie/Woodley etc

First time I've ever really heard Nate talk for any length of time and what a let down after all the hype about him been a great talker. He just comes across as a brain dead idiot that struggles to string a few words together.
