That was a definite stand up situation, nothing was happening.

Pretty poor display by Woodley, he just kept backing up.

I thought he had won it, to me he won the first 2 rounds and I know he'll have lost the 3rd because of the take down according to the rules. But he did far more damage from the bottom when they were on the ground, he blocked pretty much every shot bar one and landed many of his own.

The judges are complete morons so it's impossible to know for sure who will win but I felt Andrei won.




On another note, anyone else feel Rory Macdonald could be Timex's brother? I know he spells his surname without the A but the fact they are so similar in name and appearance made me wonder.

After the 2 worst cards I can remember watching in a long long time I cannot wait for July 6th UFC 175!

I think Lyoto is going to get it done and become the new champion while Rousey will continue her streak and retain her belt.

There are some good fights on the rest of the card too but I am definitely surprised Uriah Faber has been relegated to the pre-lims. Unless it is a ploy to get more people to watch the pre-lims and hope some of them sign up for the PPV that otherwise wouldn't have. But I can't ever remember seeing such a popular and high level fighter on the pre-lims before.






Finally, away from 175 - Chael Sonnon has failed 2 drugs tests! The first one he has said he would appeal as it was something he took to re-balance his testosterone levels. But the second test found 4 different performance enhancing substances.

He has now retired from fighting and has been dropped by the UFC and FOX Sports.

It's a shame, I really liked Chael I felt he was great as a commentator/analyst.

I'm a big fan of Mitrione, but Struve is damn impressive and I think he could have what it takes to be champion. Not so bothered about who wins. But Mitrione is very prone to gassing so if it goes beyond first round I expect to see him with his hands low and just swinging.

Not so bothered about the Rousey bout. I wouldn't mind seeing her knocked off her perch, she's looked vulnerable in previous fights.

I always found Machida a bit boring, he seems to grind out results and not really stepped it up in the big fights. I haven't seen much of Weidman, his last few fights were against Silva and they were both pretty short ones.

Trying too hard with this Rhonda biggest star in mma bollocks "changed not just women's mma but women's sport." Ffs.

I'll be watching begrudgingly, wish they had put her on last so I could switch off after Lyoto.
