why does ronda get video game cover after loss but only the winner here gets it?

Looked like Jose was a bit scrambled but still in it after the jab knocked him down, but once those hammer fists came down it was over.

Hail chun an rí nua!

they gave it to ronda before her fight with holm

then they learned a lesson the hard way, and decided to grant it to the WINNER of the next fight lol

was more of a hook than jab imo, also he collapsed immediately and regained himself when he hit the mat

I'm not knocking Conor at all, but he's got the biggest 4leaf clover up his ass to get out of that in 1 punch vs likely the best fighter he'll ever face lol

Because they were dumb enough to put her on pre-fight. After her loss they decided to let the winner go on the box. Could've had a RR/Aldo cover...

They just had two camps for the same opponent b2b

CM will want to move on imo

Dana just said Frankie deserved the shot and there's not the normal gap in decision making. Maybe you're right but I think it only happens if it's contractually obligated.

not sure what Aldo was thinking with that approach... the straight right he really didn't fully extend on, and he just threw his chin out there unprotected. seemed really undisciplined.

Was impressed with Conor's fight philosophy in the post-fight interview.

"Precision beats power. Timing beats speed. These are four ounce gloves we're wearing, that's all it takes is timing and precision."

That's absolutely true and probably the smartest thing I've ever heard a fighter say in a post fight interview. It's really not a matter of how hard/fast you're going, with these four ounce gloves most of the time. but it matters more exactly where you place the punches and having the timing to hit that spot when the opponent is vulnerable, lunging and off-balance.

Rematch set for UFC 200 in July along with Rondas makes sense, the 'redemption' event imo

He also seemed really off balance.

Why he didn't opt for a less aggressive style I have no idea but it's not impossible that CM was really inside his head.

This. Conor has a very extensive boxing background, probably the most power in the division, and reach advantage over everyone he'll face

Aldo seemed like he wanted to get out there and beat the **** out of Conor. He was looking to hurt him immediately, and he got sloppy for just a single second. Sometimes you get away with that, sometimes you don't.

Aldo came off like a sore loser after the fight. I mean if you wanna rematch fair enough but they both trained for months before this fight and he got beat clean. It was quick but it was clean. Just say he was better on the day and move on. Just because there wasn't a round and a half before the one punch knockdown + ground and pound win doesn't make the fight void.

This is where Conor's mind games comes into play. He takes his opponents off their wiser senses when the pressure is highest

People were all over McGregor because of his pre fight insults but it worked a treat. Aldo was rocked months ago.
