I'm pretty sure the PPV guys are Lesnar, Couture, Griffin, Rampage, Liddell, Ortiz, A Silva, Franklin, GSP, Hughes and BJ Penn. Possibly also Machida, Rua, Evans, Mir. That's just a preliminary list. Mainly it's going to be champions and former champions.

chael is gonna make a lot more money if he sells the hell out of his PPV main event fight even if he doesn't have a PPV bonus in his contract

Yeah, I'm not going to argue my preference is what people should want, just what I want. I could go anywhere and be excited by two schleps throwing down. I want to watch the best of the best.

i really don't care about liddell/franklin. i mean i guess it'll be pretty fun if the crowd is going wild but it's tough to get excited about either fighter.

im really looking forward to dunham/griffin and cro cop/barry. kampmann/thiago and condit/mcdonald should be pretty good. rothwell/yvel should be a p good freakshow.

plus i got 1k on mario miranda so i have a sweat there.

i think im gonna have to watch it sunday morning in a hotel room after downloading a torrent though

Even if I knew GSP/Silva would be a snoozefest I'd be much happier spending my money on that fight then to spend it on two gatekeepers in Liddell and Franklin. Simply for the reason stated above, I want to watch the best.

It's not even that he isn't still probably a good enough fighter, but he's going to eventually wind up with brain damage if he hasn't already. That's three pretty rough KOs in a row.

yeah he looked better than franklin for a while (breaking his arm helps), but obviously his chin is just gone and hes a dog against any top 10 guys.

Seems like the card was actually pretty exciting, as I expected it to be just no real significance in any of the fights. With Thiago losing Dunham might be the only fighter on the card that may be just 2 wins from a title shot everybody else is 3 or more wins away.

If I were to guess I would've said the winner of Dunham/Griffin would fight the winner Sotiropolous/Pellegrino and the winner of that fight would get a title shot. So in fact I think Dunham is only 1 win from a title shot. There are no other LWs that are in title contention besides the guys that are fighting for the title and for the #1 contender spot Florian/Maynard.
