Well I agree with this in part. This started well before Te'o got launched as a Heisman candidate and possibly a 1st round pick... I'll agree with that. But, he wasn't a nobody, he was an NFL prospect at the time and the defensive captain of a Notre Dame football team that gets a ton of exposure. If we are talking the winter off season of 2012 everyone knew he was going pro, with or without this story. The problem is there is no accurate timeline of when contact occurred, and if we could even trust the information provided.

I'm definitely not arguing Te'o being behind this from the start. Idk where you got that from. I was merely pointing out that he is now capitalizing on the situation. That seems to be what all this jockeying for interviews is, and why RT would want all the blame now.

A lot of people were struggling to find a motive earlier itt and I offered this as a possibility. Idk what to believe anymore, but Tuiasosopo is about to get paid that's all I know for sure. He's also gonna have a hard time going anywhere in public for 20 years. Fun times.

It is super weird to me that we have to wait for these interviews. I don't want to see potentially edited material. Plus, it's 2013, people are already getting bored of this story. Ray Ray allegations, A-rod lols and the Super Bowl are taking over and this **** seems so long ago now.

The whole thing is just insane as ever, but I am beginning to doubt that we will ever fully understand just what the **** happened here.

Maybe in five years after Te'o scrubs out of the NFL and writes a book about it.

Or sooner, when Roniah Tuiasosopo writes a book about it, but I wouldn't expect that to explain all the weird stuff from Te'o side.

I think this story is on its final legs so pushing out this interview is a way to try and keep it relevant for as long as possible continuously since it broke. Once it dies down imo it will never be much more than a bottom line update, or a 20 sec short on sportcenter for anything that isn't earth shattering.

There's not much that can be sleuthed at this point. The core question left, basically, was Tuiasosopo a lone catfisher, can only be answered by Tuiasosopo or whoever else was involved. If none of them say anything and Tuiasosopo is willing to go to the mat with the "I did it all myself" story, then that's how it's gonna go down. Game is basically over.
