At best case he's a complete moron who's been lying since that Heisman ceremony farce. Don't really know what there is to defend on his part in that scenario. There's actually a better defense in a "lying from the beginning because he's gay" scenario.

But #1 is that damages weren't caused, as far as we know, so what Dr. Phil and his producers are paying is none of our effin' business because: (a) they're a private entity; and (b) it's totally legal to pay someone to be on a TV show (i.e. Jerry Seinfeld, Jennifer Aniston, Jim Parsons, Steve Buscemi, Redd Foxx, Alec Baldwin, etc.).

Of course, but I think there is a ****load to be learned from who is getting paid by this airing. Or, if no one is getting paid and it is a publicity stunt by the CAA for Manti.

EDIT: What if the CAA agreed to take Manti on as a client so they can parade him around to all the people they are connected to/ represent to unfold this drama? Essentially agreeing to be his PR powerhouse in return for monetizing this scandal?
