Is it not buying the debts for £25m? Don’t these sales usually go through for £1?

I think most of it was written off when Dean Holdsworth and his mates took over.

Yeah it could mean that too. Then again, it says it includes the whole stadium, which is presumably an asset worth a chunk.

It adds: “The company will be sold with no structured debt and just normal trade creditors outstanding.”
Probably not that much debt then

My understanding is that Eddie Davies wiped off a lot of personal debt when he sold the club, but Holdsworth/Anderson hated each other after taking over so not sure what to believe from their end as pretty much any public comment about the club from either of them was about how much of a dick the other guy was.

They will when top teams from other leagues place offers on him imo.

Yeah then one of those top clubs could arrange friendlies in the US to boost their profile and football in the US there while making fortunes.

Oh right, that's been tried already with some kid at Bayern. Didn't work then either.

Only one of those top clubs he makes a difference to would be Spurs imo, rest seem pretty well off already with either oil money or already having fantastic infrastructure along with super merchandise deals.

Understat.com - just to keep annoying Dicksauce.

Bolton guy lost something silly like quarter billion pounds and has put his club in the ****hole.

Got told here by the likes of angry mod and the pollster that **** like that can't happen to PL clubs, while ignoring all the financial difficulties faced by many former PL clubs.

Jfc that guy really had the keys to this place, what a **** time that was.

Yup, and daca still critises Burnley for not spending money they don’t have.

Pulisic is the greatest American player in history so there is no analogue to compare this to. I would love him at spurs obviously, but his price is probably 100m at least in today’s market and we won’t have that without selling alli or Kane.

Also, who are you talking about in your other post - a mod who didn’t think clubs could fail?
10-07-2017 , 08:37 AM
It compares well with the nonsense over the Bayern wonder kid Green (that hasn't been heard of again) and how he'd help Bayern get a foothold on the American market if they'd only just arrange some friendly fixtures.

Why aren't Dortmund raking it in off Pulisic's back?

You really that dense btw? Seth the knowitall who actually knew **** all.
10-07-2017 , 08:37 AM
He's already playing for a club that's as good and people don't really seem to give a ****. 84k people tuned in to their latest league game that was on at 9:30AM Eastern on a Saturday on a channel that should be in 73% of households.

The only question is getting people who don't watch football to start watching it. Market him like crazy during WC and have Bundesliga meet you half way by giving them more later slots.

I suspect that many years from now this will end with "we(lol yanks) just don't care since he isn't the next Messi playing for the biggest club itw" meaning there's really zero excuses why any patriotic American can't be a Dortmund slappy as it stands.

I don't remember the player/argument that you're referring to, but Pulisic is legit and will go for a boatload on his own merit rather than as some move into the US market.
10-07-2017 , 08:43 AM
He's referring to Julian green who isn't half the player pulisic is. People were excited he was playing for Bayern tho. Just prob didn't move the needle much

I don't disagree with this.

I'm watching Barnet vs Coventry. I reckon I could get a game for one of these sides.

Edit: the Barnet sub appears to be wearing a bra. What is that about?

True. But when I think about it personally, I don’t watch a lot of his games cuz I need to spend all available time on PL GOAT. I tune in when it doesn’t conflict and that’s about it. And I’m in the absolute top bracket of most crazed football/soccer fans in the US. The combo of popular league and nations greatest player would be much better than now.
10-07-2017 , 09:05 AM

Top bracket of crazed football fans don't have enough time to post however many times per year on sites like this or watch every PL game every year, they're all too busy traveling all over the place attending games while spending every penny the earn doing so.

Hooked on telly is what it is.

I love watching football too but some people take it to a different level attending home and away for years on end, while watching a lot of ****e in a lot of cases.

lol seth has a pretty incredible job with an NBA team, not too sure about his football knowledge but pretty clear he's a smart guy

It's amusing that Cov didn't think Fleck could cut it and let us have him on a free fifteen months ago, how things change

Hey Marty, could you stop being such a smug **** all the time? Thanks in advance.

Im sure you won’t have time to respond since you are such a real fan.
