hot tip: put maximum salt in the fries, that way you can charge massive prices for pokey cola cos they get desperate.

In other news, Julio Baptista, one time of Arsenal, is seemingly confused in terms of getting one last pay day and is going to Bolton

Hotter tip: That feature, although discussed a lot in the press, never actually made it into the game. So many people believed in made a difference though.
The only bit that actually did anything was bumping up the sugar levels in the drinks to make the peeps move around the park faster.

Same goes for all the stats for the different cars is Hi-Octane. In reality, all the cars were identical. Hence the game going from EA begging us to make it, to shop shelves n 7 weeks.

The FA give them tickets to the England games, apparently.
I've been on TalkSport a few times complaining about the negative impact they have on the team.
It's been quite clear for a long time that when the band go into one of their continuous, monotonous 'tunes' they go at a slow tempo, presumably because it makes it simple for them all to play and for the bass drummer to keep up with.
They literally become a metronome for the team and they actually slip into the same tempo. I don't blame the players for it, it's a quite natural thing to do.
I don't think anyone at the FA has actually thought of looking into it and just dismiss it as a ridiculous notion, but it's quite plain to see. There's some definite science behind it.
There I go, sounding like a tin hatter!

The other thing that I've never understood it why on earth do they insist on playing Ring of Fire and the theme from The Great Escape?
The Great Escape? That happy movie in which only 3 people successfully escaped and most of those who were captured were shot.
Maybe it's some sort of metaphor for England in the past 50 years. Successful in breaking out of the qualifiers but getting murdered in the important bit.

I don't know where to start with Ring of Fire. Probably something to do with Gary Lineker soiling himself on the pitch...

....and breathe...

Back to video games. I worked for Bullfrog for 6+ years. The only other company I ever wanted to work for before I joined them was Team 17. Alien Breed and Project X were legendary games on the Amiga.
Team 17... Worms drunk game GOAT.

It ended up being my audition for working there, initially as a tester. I was tasked with trying pretty much every combination of salt and ice in the food and drinks and reporting back my results. Most people just said they worked great. I was nervous to tell them that I didn't notice any difference.
I got the job.

Classic interview technique.

i prob woulda bet a lot on the salt being a real thing. i remember reading it in amiga power or something, one of those mags, and then testing it when i finally got the game, and successfully shifting pokey cola by the tankload. got a mate who im gonna have to tell this to. he will be quite devastated i think

piece of our childhoods was a massive fraud it turns out

Best place to stay in london for nightlife / food? Initial research makes me lean towards soho.
09-05-2017 , 09:20 PM
Soho definitely not the best place to stay. Might be the best place for you to spend time, though.
(Given that it is accessible from ~everywhere there's no point actually staying in Soho)

If you persist with the plan, though, there is a Le Meridien at ~Piccadilly Circus (a few steps down on Piccadilly by Air Street, on which you will find a great steak restaurant), which is pretty decent.

Legit feeling old right now. Just bought an electric bike.

If his decision ends up standing, it's ridiculous.

It depends on budget and what you want - if you want to be in the middle of the places to go sight seeing or somewhere slightly quieter. Shoreditch is probably a decent place to go out for one night, as long as you are prepared to tolerate high levels of hipster.

There are a few hotels clustered around the Strand and Charing Cross and a couple on the South Bank.

I'd suggest taking a look at prices on Trivago or whatever and finding a few that you think look decent. Drop me a PM if you want.

They should just tell them that they are Arsenal or Tottenham, that makes the deadline a bit less dead.

As Hoopie says, Shoreditch etc gets a bad rep for being full of hipsters, but that also means a nice area, craft beer festivals, niche restaurants. It's quite fun.

Price isn't too big a deal plan on staying at an airbnb. Going to the ars swans game on the 28th and a day trip to Paris the Thurs before are the only plans so far. I love food so checking out some good restaurants for fine dining is up there on things to do. Mainly want to be in a safe area with ease to travel around but also some worthwhile stuff nearby.

Thanks again for the help/suggestions.

Wonder if you'll have some life changing soup.

Islington is good enough as well. You can walk to Arsenal, it has a few places to go out and you are close to almost everywhere.

Premier League have announced that from next weekend the transfer window will close before the season starts. A good move in my opinion but leaves a short window to get stuff done.

From next weekend?

I believe Leicester were against the proposal. They voted for the window to close 14 seconds after the season starts.
