Doing what he did today was impressive. Clearly it was his best game to date.

But when it came time to lead his team down the field to score to win the game, he failed, just like he did last week against the Chiefs. And you want to pimp how clutch he is? Like Jordan?!

It's ridiculous.

This is absurd selective memory. Nobody is saying that Tebow has literally never failed in a clutch situation. Michael Jordan didn't hit every game winner he attempted either. Take a look at Jordan's normal shooting stats and then compare that to his game winning attempts. Then take a look at Tebow's normal stats and compare that to clutch times(playoff games, last 2 minutes of regulation, overtime, etc.).

announcer kinda sucks on this play....needs way more excitement in his voice as Thomas breaks away after the stiffarm imo.

htf can you be arguing that a guy playing the best game of his career in his first career playoff game didn't up his clutch level at all?

Im a huge Broncos fan and a Tebow fan. I have to admit, I've been wondering this for a while. He won 2 national Championships and a Heisman at the University of Florida. There are 50,000 students there. Thats 25,000 chicks. Tebow couldn't find 1 Christian virgin to marry? I'd put the odds at about 70/30 he's gay. If he's not gay, I have to wonder what that priest in the Philippines did to him when he was a kid.

Troy was in the box almost the whole game, on the final play it was Ryan Mundy who ran up into the box right before the snap leaving Taylor with no safety help, Troy was on the other side of the field and in the box the whole time.

Don't know if you've watched the previous games but the guy's lead clutch game winners in like half of his NFL starts.

It was one of those "is this really cool or is this really gay?" moments. I decided cool but I could be convinced gay pretty easily.

Tebow to Thomas in that Chicago game: "You're about to catch the game winner"

Guess he was right on two counts.

yeah even if you don't like Fox you gotta give him some props for this, my first thought on that play was that they must have completely tricked the entire defense to get a TD on a slant route like that

I highly approve of this post.

Tebow: You're gonna be the hero of the game!

Saying things like that to your teammates, it stays with them.. it gives them strength in moments like the first play of overtime.

Like Rocky in Rocky 2, starting out fighting right handed and then in the last round switching to fighting left handed..

THEY SHOCKED THE WORLD.

haha while i agree with your overall point (that tebow is very strong mentally and steps his game up huge in big moment) this is funny to me coming from you since you have previously based your "cutler sucks in the clutch" opinion on that 1 3rd down throw vs Buffalo

the new OT rules probably gave coaches a ton to think about right? like does it change 4th down strategy, should you now kick off, etc?

nope!

Tebow said John Fox and the coaching staff went over the (new overtime) rules during a Thursday meeting. Fox said he never really thought of letting the Steelers or another team get the ball first.
