yeah that's not how any of this works

I'm at the point where I don't care if people drive dunk or not and I'm just tired of the division over it. Driving sober prevents you from getting in a wreck. People who feel at risk of getting in a wreck shouldn't drive drunk. If people want to roll the dice with drunk driving let them. The constant hatred and back and forth over it really needs to end though.

We know if you're sober you can still get in a wreck. I actually think the different standards for sober and impaired drivers in terms of breath testing, DUI checkpoints, etc... is largely to blame for a lot of these accidents. If you feel at risk, stay sober. If not, it's your life and you're responsible for your own outcome.

False equivalence ftw

Nearly two years for people to do their own research and they fiddlefart around to reach the same simple conclusions that were obvious to them from the beginning. Unreal.

CeeDee Lamb untucking his jersey constantly - LOL what a tard can’t he just follow the rules and make his millions?? This is what’s wrong with spoiled athletes nowadays

Rodgers lies to everyone about vaxxing, almost certainly guaranteeing two losses and any shot at a bye week- second coming of MLK.

It's really 50/50, you either get it or you don't.

Feels like the tendency of ~20% of the population to be violently misinformed and refuse to protect themselves or lower their chances of infection are to blame, but meh, maybe it's masks.

This.

My dad had to go the same hospital in May and October this year for non-COVID issues. In May his care was excellent. In October it was dreadful. He had to stay in the waiting room for hours until he passed out.

What changed between May and October? ****ing dumbass antivaxxers clogging up the hospital. Antivaxxers are actively causing harm to others.

So how do you explain the outbreak of the 99% vaccinated Cal football team to the point where rhey had to cancel a game? There is a massive misnomer that once you're vaccinated you can basically live normally

Once you have covid is it less deadly once you pass it on if you're vaccinated v unvaccinated? In other words is a vaccinated person passes covid on to patient X is patient X less likely to die than if an unvaccinated person passed covid onto them?

We've seen it contracted and spread amongst so many sports teams now I'm almost numb to it. Cal and the 76ers being the most recent examples. But there are many many more

Because breakthrough cases are a thing and anecdotal evidence doesn't outweigh statistics.

Something being "less likely" doesn't mean that thing is "impossible".

Ok fair enough. So this comes back to fully vaccinated people having different standards than unvaccinated people when we know they are getting and spreading covid even if they are getting and spreading it less.

I think breakthrough cases are happening far more frequently than we tend to acknowledge and they are just deadly and dangerous as an unvaccinated positive

Additionally there are so few people who are ineligible for this vaccine. The immunocompromised were the first in line ffs unlike every other vaccine. So at this point if an unvaccinated person gets covid that's on them. **** em. They've had every chance to be vaccinated by now

Those pictures I included a few posts up are from hospitals providing their stats from their ERs and ICUs. This is a pandemic of the unvaccinated. The bolded is just wrong.

It happens literally everywhere:

There's other metrics that go into this too. How many of those in ICU and on ventilators are obese for example? Newsflash we are a grossly unhealthy country. Being grossly unhealthy also has consequences

To be clear I meant a breakthrough case is just as deadly and dangerous to someone who contracts covid from them. I dont give a **** about the outcome of the actual breakthrough case person who chose not to be vaccinated.

But more to the point so few people are ineligible for this vaccine. If those people don't get it then **** em. It's on them

Lol actually agreeing with lfc here.

Also, saying people need to get vaxed bc it helps protect others is dumb. These people hate you and want you to die.

Rodgers represents everything wrong with modern society. One or both should be punished for it, neither will be, and everyone will spend all this time debating the merits or lack thereof of vaccine and mask mandates instead of Rich Ahole doesn’t think he needs to follow the rules and wants to protect his image by being a lying sack of ****
Melodramatic much?

I don't care that he lied about something that barely impacts anybody at this point.

Wait till you find out how many of your pro athletes are "lying" about taking PEDs.

Speaking of idiotic sports behavior, is this some sort of Nancy Kerrigan scenario?

This is what I've been saying the whole time. A player on my favorite team was doing HGH, I gave him a fist bump and next thing I know, I've got mad gains and I'm failing piss tests at work!!

I’ll be serious: if you were his teammate and he chose to vastly increase his chances of being out for multiple games and lied to you about it, you would be happy about it?

You’re right that 95% of NFL players probably don’t give a **** about COVID, but they all really really care about winning and being on a good team.

At least with Wentz and whoever else they admitted it. If you’re his teammate you can talk to him about it, ask his reasons, take whatever sort of steps you want to respond.

You think <95% of NFL players are going to practice going to meeting and going to games in front of 90,000 unmasked people then immediately going home and staying in their houses? You seem very naive to the social lives of the modern athlete

but the packers and the nfl knew which means his teammates did too.

If you want to say his teammates may wish he was vaccinated because it would drastically reduce his chances of missing a game,I'd agree with you.But none of them give a **** about what he told the media, they care about him missing a game.

It's the moral outrage that people have I disagree with. I also think that while he said a couple of dumb things in this very long interview, he made a ton of good points and was pretty reasonable overall. Both sides on the covid debate have been utterly ridiculous for a long time.

Now if Rodgers claimed he was vaxxed and going around a bunch of old and sick people in hospitals for example without a mask I'd say he's a total piece of ****.

Text from a buddy of mine this morning. This is some dude who "did his own research" and now may lose his wife and mother of their 6-year-old because of it.

What is the "both sides" of this one? "Well yeah he was lied to by a bunch of charlatans, and his family should have gotten vaccinated. But Fauci was just so annoying, and the CDC changed their mind about masks early in the pandemic. So really both sides are equally at fault." ???
