I just downloaded the software & registered, but when launched it & enter my username & password, I only get a "Finding Server" message w/ the login box grayed out. Any ideas?

firewall issue? also try downloading 1.3.13 i just updated it. The networking programming i'm using is fairly standard, you should need to use whatever you use for other software applications to get past firewalls (disable windows firewall, idk).

If you 'just downloaded' means you tested it more than 10 minutes ago, then it might be because i temporarily had the server down.

Just a couple notes. Anyone updating from an older version of the software should first uninstall the software through control panel. Hopefully I will find a fix for this in newer versions. Failure to do this may cause a lot of the features to break because all the setting files (Users/____/appdata/PC folders) are not updated. This appears to be due to a bug with the Microsoft installer package. I will investigate further for a better solution, but for now just manually uninstall / reinstall. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Also, thanks to a number of users who helped me to find this issue through feedback. As always, feedback is greatly appreciated.

Just did the uninstall/reinstall but it didn't help the problem I mentioned above -- that I only get a Finding Server message w/ the login box grayed out. Thoughts?

Alright here's the deal, there are 3 possible problems. Although this could be an issue with PC itsself, i think that is the least likely situation because the server shows that a number of people have successfully connected in the last 5 hours. More likely this is either an issue with your local computer or your local network. Is anyone else having this problem?

1) what type of OS do you have and what antivirus / firewall / otherwise protective software do you have running. if vista + you can try running the software as an admin or temporarily turning off UAC.

2) what type of a network are you on? personal / public? is there one or several routers? None of these things should make a difference if the network is configured properly, but who knows. I suggest you try another computer on the same network if possible. That would pretty solidly nail down if its a network issue or a computer issue.

Also, I believe the features you are looking for will work even in the 'offline' mode. try clicking the offline button for now.

Thanks to feedback I was able to identify an issue which would cause tabbing and actions to preform unreliably. A couple other issues have been corrected in v1.3.16

Running Windows Vista; it's a brand new zippy machine w/ very little loaded onto it (besides the bare essentials & poker softwares, obviously); running as admin; AVG is the only antivirus; default windows firewall is the only firewall; UAC is off.

It's a personal home network, very straightforward, use a basic wireless router, only 2 computers in the house, never had a problem with anything on the network before. I just tried it on my windows xp laptop but it was the same situation. Hmmm....

But doesn't the Offline mode mean it wont connect with the FTP server? Because that's what's happening. FT is running, lobby is open, but it's no recognizing any tables -- but that's in Offline mode so I guess that makes sense.

What else could it be?!? Dying to get it up & running. Looks like a great little program!

the 'server' that my program connects to is actually something I run which automatically collects the information from the full tilt lobby so you wont have to scan the tables yourself. in offline mode, all the features will work except the custom lobby, which as of now is only marginally useful until i add in VPIP, etc.

Hmm, the regger is not at least opening the tourney lobbies and hitting register, it just isnt hitting the buy in button it seems.

ok. I intentionally have the program set up such that it will not automatically register you for a tournament. This is so that people don't accidentally register themselves for a tournament they aren't interested in while they are testing out the program.

The solution is simple. Go to the 'popup handlers' section and turn on the one for Full Tilt automatic registration. If the predefined popup handler doesn't work, you can easily add your own, just ensure to enable it after setting it up.

I would like to request a feature of this software. Is it possible for your program
to "zoom" the table that requires action. I cannot play at the minimum table sizes, but if this software was able to enlarge the active table (and shrink back when done acting), that would be great.

I think I saw a similar feature in one of the AutoHotKey posts, but I cant find it at the moment.

Also this may not be needed once your software supports larger sizes.

I think your judgment is correct all around. This would be a nice feature but will not be necessary when the software supports larger sizes. If you get graphical mods it might make it easier for you to play with a smaller table size, but this is not really helpful unless you are massively multi tabling.

I am hoping to eventually include a feature where you can define 2-6 spots for active tables only. When a table becomes active it would be swapped into one of these spots and swapped out afterwards. It would be really easy to incorporate the type of sizing into this feature if I choose to implement it. For now I am just working on getting all the kinks out of the current system.

i've put up a new version (1.3.17) of my software which has some bug fixes and improvements with the table activation code (tabbing, mouse activation, etc.). Also included are some minor performance and reliability improvements. Like always, please contact me with any feedback / bug reports. The improvements with this update are mostly due to feedback from several specific users (you know who you are, and thanks ).

Any updates on when the cash table opener will be fully functional?

Last time I tried was a couple of days ago. I could connect to the server and login fine, and it displayed the tables I filtered for (not all tables but most I think) but it wouldn't open any. Perhaps I have it setup wrong...Just can't login to the server now to check.

can you try logging into the server now and tell me what happens. We can discuss this more specifically through PM

Is there any way to change the way the sng table opener works?

I use TableNinjaFT and a ps3 controller (keyboard users would encounter the same issues), and the sng opener is basically useless in its current implimentation because it steals focus from the tables.

Thanks.

there is a partial solution to this problem.... just click the hide site lobby button. The shortcuts that I have implemented in the software can be used (if you cant get the PC shortcuts to work I can help you fix that).

I will not bother adding support for running TableNinja AND Poker Companion at the same time. (to do so would be redundant and in my opinion could potentially lead to many other problems). If there are specific shortcuts or features you want me to implement i can do that, and I might set it up so that after the SNG opener is done it returns focus, but this is not a priority.

I just put out updated software (version 1.3.18)

As of now the software should be able to get into and out of cash tables and waiting lists more effectively (there is still a bit more for me to do here).

Eventually, the software will keep track of tables that it just exited to prevent it from getting back into them and keep track of tables on the waiting list for so that if the table no longer is 'good enough' it will remove itsself from those waiting lists.

good news.

I have spent some time working on the client-server system and the software is now set up so that the client-server connection is multithreaded. Also, servers are now set up to directly communicate between each other.

This means that it is now practical for me to set up several semi-permanent/permanent servers...
Refresh times for table information will be significantly improved...
Time to detect the initial server connection will be reduced significantly... etc.

These updates among several others will be included in the next version of the software.

coming soon (tonight)....

auto-seating for cash tables
auto-sit back in

also, i have found a bug that i believe someone had mentioned earlier. If highlighting is disabled and mouse auto-centering is enabled, it is possible that the software will repeatedly force the mouse to the auto center position. This will be fixed in the next release as well.

It took me a little bit longer than expected but I have included 'auto time bank,' 'auto sit back in' and 'auto take a seat' features.

I have also included a greatly improved method for setting up the software.

Another feature added in this release is informative tooltips which I will add to most parts of the software. This should make it less necessary to consult a user guide for simple functionality questions.

My next step is to add buttons to 'auto buy in', automatically close tournament lobbies, etc. Although all of this can already be done using the popup handler system, I will add external buttons to make the system much simpler to use.

check out v 1.3.21 on the website
