Two terrorist with assault rifles and body armor vs one cop with a pistol. Cop kills them both. Sorta like early Clint Eastwood.

Do these guys who hate the drawings create FB events every time there's an event and get their guns ready?

I stand corrected.

While I do not know how many Muslims in the US share these views I am certain they are a tiny minority of Muslims worldwide.

In now way am I defending Geller, Wilders and their ilk. They are terrible human beings but I will still defend their right of freedom of speech. Especially if the other side tries to oppress it violently.

It became clear to me that the disconnect in this thread is that both sides of the debate basically agree that Geller et al. are despicable and that their isn't the slightest justification for these violent acts. We misinterpret the desire to discuss one aspect rather than the other as disagreement.

There was another post about Pamela Geller comparing herself to Rosa Parks.

If someone shoots up a Westboro Baptist protest, the Westboro Baptist people are STILL ****ING IDIOTS with terrible ideas and their victimhood doesn't give their ideas special weight or importance. You apparently want to turn off all criticism of these people just because they were shot. That makes no sense.
lol. You do the same thing in every thread. Your positions are a joke. When you're called out on it, you say someone doesn't know how to read.

You are a total clown.

yeah this

liberals, especially on this board, are so desperate to feel good about themselves, and equally desperate to convince themselves they are morally superior, that they don't even stop to contemplate the blatant hypocrisy.

I don't know how tiny or large the minority is, but yes American Muslims seem to have more tolerant views, which is good.

Fair enough. I agree.

This is true, I think. I don't believe Geller "had it coming" and I am very happy that the lone armed cop was able to stop the attack before any innocent lives were lost.

I like how you took falcon's made-up quote and invented an entire psychological theory around it.

Let me ask you this--what do you think would have happened if, instead of these terrorists approaching the venue with weapons, two Arabic men burned and stopped on an American flag just outside of the entrance. How confident are you that they wouldn't have been physically assaulted by any of the ultraconservative, anti-Muslim Texans?

WTF is this insistence on atrocious analogies? Yeah, there are tons of complete idiot gun nuts in Texas. Wake me up when they shoot up a mosque. And when that happens, will we get the "well yeah that was bad but what did the Muslims expect" bull****?

Which Christians? Just some random folks who identify as Christians or are we talking about a Church domination, a Protestant sect, the Catholic Church, who???

Why are your panties in a bunch? The analogy fits because some ITT have said it's racist to excuse the terrorists' rage at this type of art, and I'm just suggesting that if Muslims desecrated a symbol important to Texas gun nuts then these nice, white boys might easily have been provoked to violence.

Why is it hard to understand that people can understand their rage without excusing their plot to cause mayhem.

You're not provoked to violence when you make a plan to murder people. Flags actually have been burned, many times, you can make this point when someone gets shot over it by one of these white boys.

The drone campaign has overwhelming support in a majority Christian nation.

Not Really, 39 out of 44 nations have the majority of their citizens opposed to USA drone strikes some overwhelmingly according to a Pew Poll in 2014

Newsflash, the USA isn't the only country that has a lot of Christians. Thanks for playing though.
