My first number was much lower so I raised it up because trump lol. But you are right I should have researched to try and reach a more accurate total. I was, admittedly, being lazy.

He recused himself. So what?

Probably a sensible thing to do to avoid any accusations of bias. No way he is resigning though, nor should he.

Lol

Do you think he would have recused himself if this story didn't break in the last 24 hours?

If this story didn't break do you think he still should have recused himself?

I love how recusing himself is supposed to be the solution to this now. If he's recusing himself because he's doing an investigation into a campaign that he was a huge part of, why did he wait until today?

Yeah its completely transparent BS. Only the trump faithful are buying it as some sort of meaningful act.

I feel great about a full repeal of the ACA, and I feel great about Rand calling for it. A+ all the way around! Especially great having Rand call out the GOP today on the BS of keeping their fake repeal-replace bill so secretive.

The really scary thing is how few Republicans actually care about this. The Attorney General perjured himself in confirmation hearings. That alone violates so many of our fundamental institutions, let alone the fact it may be related to working with a foreign power to influence the election. If Republicans can't find the courage to stand up to Sessions/Trump now, we may be in for a very long period of autocracy.

Well, yeah. He's treating the Trump/Russia story the same way he treated birtherism. That's why we think he's a hack.

You can try and twist yourself in knots thinking he was just answering the question but what he said was unsolicited and just a statement not an answer to any question asked of him.

He was so worried about dodging a question about if he would do his job as AG, that he just jumped off a cliff and started lying about other stuff.

Shame on the senate for confirming him. They confirmed a guy who would not even commit to having enough integrity to do the actual job.
Meh He was not worried about dodging the question. The question was basically:

There was a continuing exchange of information during the campaign between Trump's surrogates and intermediaries for the Russian government.’ ....if it's true......what will you do?

His answer was basically Not aware of any of these contacts, I have not had such contacts and no comment about future cases. The not going to comment clearly answered the question. Which I am not sure one could as an AG answer the question any other way when it is so vague and lacked any sort of facts supporting criminal elements.

Lol, meaningful.

It's a gesture to appease the rabid mass of barking mad democrats baying for blood over every little minor transgression.

That's all.

Head of DOJ lying under oath about an ongoing investigation of POTUS == minor transgression.

I bet this was a move for appeasement like Sushy says. If there's one thing the Trump admin is known for, it's appeasement. Could you be a bigger ****ing clown?
03-02-2017 , 08:13 PM
Well there is a growing track record of team trump only appeasing ever on Russia related stuff, which in and of itself could signal there's something to it. Like, he doesn't back down on basically anything else.

Read Vargas’ full comments on her detention below:

I don’t understand why they don’t want me. I’m doing the best I can. I mean I can’t help that I was brought here but I don’t know anything else besides being here and I didn’t realize that until I was in a holding cell last night for 5 hours. I was brought here. I didn’t choose to be here. And when I was brought here, I had to learn a whole new country and leave behind the one that I did know. And I barely knew that one. I feel, I strongly feel that I belong here and I strongly feel that I should be given a chance to be here and do something good and work in this economy. There’s so much that I can bring to the table, so much, like I can even teach music, I’m an excellent trumpet player you can ask my mom about any of that. I’m great with math, I speak Spanish. You know, there’s a lot of stuff that I can do for this country that they’re not allowing me to do. I’ve even tried to join the military, and I can’t do that. But, I mean that’s not the point, the whole point is that I would do anything for this country.

I keep coming back to the fact that Jeff Sessions perjured himself in order to become AG so he could lock up marijuana smokers, enact civil asset forfeiture, and take away voting rights from minorities. This IS minor for them! The real crimes against humanity are their policy goals, so what's a little perjury in order to get there? That's kind of the anatomy in fascism in a way.

He completely should, if for no other reason than he's an incompetent attorney.
