No, he didn't qualify it at all. He said "I did not have communications with the Russians".

(edit) And really his answer was more along the lines of "Some people have made it out to be that I was a surrogate, (but I couldn't have been because) I did not have communications with the Russians"

It's just lame that it's all so partisan that if a dem did just the sessions original statement + the meeting report it'd be 24/7 outrage on fox news and BS would be in here screaming for resignation and all that.

Sessions and everyone else's statements about this have gone all over the rails the last few days. We cannot give him the benefit of the doubt now.

Some of this is definitely a bit of over zealous witch hunting but there's way too much "this is nothing" by people who have no ****ing clue whether there is or isn't.

That said nunes called dems on this mccarthyism and ofc that's what russians call it when people similarly talk about them. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a memo on this strategy wise, since it all worked over there. Hell it's working on many here.

GOP e-mails are assuredly as bad as the dem ones that got out there and everyone knows it but people just don't wanna admit it.

Being under oath matters. Like, your argument would make sense if the dude was talking off the record over dinner (Like RMoney and his 47% comment). But he wasn't. He was under oath. Telling the truth matters. Saying "I had no contact with Russia" when he did in fact have contact matters. It's a lie under oath.

It ESPECIALLY matters when Sessions himself said this about perjury...

“In America, the Supreme Court and the American people believe no one is above the law,” he said.

Of course, none of this will matter to you.

That's all.
Well then it's SAD, because the only ones buying it are trump defenders. It is a big fail if their goal was what you say.

Axl has been a vocal advocate of legalizing marijuana for many years. The DOJ publicly stating they were going to target the dispensaries was probably a bridge too far LOL.

Lol Pence. Used a personal email account for sensitive issues including national security and got hacked

With an AOL account too. Wonder if he was using AIM.

Absolutely unreal considering what happened during the campaign with WikiLeaks and the DNC emails. It never ceases to amaze me how far some stupid, stupid people can get in life.

Old people suck with email. They just do. If anything, I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often than it does.

Having said that, Pence and the GOP can rightly go **** themselves for doing the very things they bitched Hillary was doing.
03-02-2017 , 09:17 PM
Here's the scoop, I had to check for myself. They've got the money quotes of Pence hammering Hillary too.

Also in the betting pool on who's next to be embroiled in a controversy involving Russian ties, don't sleep on Wilbur Ross.

Whether it actually was perjury or not is debatable imo.

If you look at the specific context of the questions I don't think it is clearcut that he lied. Or at least he didn't lie intentionally. It appears he may have misunderstood the intent of the question.

They might need a jewish ban tomorrow to get all this **** off the news.
