Right, why read something from someone with a different viewpoint.

I look forward to the Intercept's reporting on this.

Schumer can barely hide his glee talking about this.

this morning he denied the allegations that he met with the ambassador, and he said he is more than willing to recuse himself "when its appropriate" (with a fake smile)

At this point, if he doesn't recuse himself, it's a lock he thinks the investigation will dig up some dirt on him.

Edit: my pony is slow

Yeah but guess what, Sessions did NOT answer the question asked. If he had, you'd probably be right. However, the question Franken asked was "if we get evidence that the trump campaign was talking to the russians, what would you do?" and Sessions instead answered a different question about whether or not HE had contact with the russians. And what he said was "I did not have communications with the Russians." Not "I didn't talk to them about the campaign." He lied. In a confirmation hearing.

He's probably looking for immunity before recusing himself.

Sessions can get ****ed and resign. And apparently Claire McCaskill can get ****ed too.

How ****ing hard is it to not lie about contacts with Russia? If you aren't 100% ****ing sure of if you had contact say that you don't remember and clarify your statements.

Assuming sessions knows a lot that can damage trump and he actually gets charged with perjury(im skeptical), what are chances he does get a plea deal? Would that be a death sentence by the Russians if he were to talk?
03-02-2017 , 11:51 AM
lol maria zakharova (russian foreign ministry spokeswoman) having a meltdown on nat'l tv rite now telling reporters to stop spreading "lies" and "false news"

Vox is there for Taso with a nice summary of Trump's various overlapping Russia-related scandals:

Not getting charged and would not accept a deal if charged. Both questions dealt wit the campaign having discussions and your not going to get a conviction when the question asks about the campaign's contact. Any answer is to assume he is talking about the campaign's contact or contact on behalf of the campaign.

The transcript is there. He went out of his way to say, I never met with the Russians. He had time to go over the record and correct the mistake. He did not.

Even if he doesn't get charged or resigns, it would be a win to get a independtent commission to look into the ties with trump's team and Russia.
