He was a bit of a loon for sure.

I just wanted to use an example of someone who argued intelligently and in good faith.

Surely even Trump wouldn't suggest this?

Think about it: where was the coverage of the Bowling Green Massacre?

Any concrete examples of this? I'm not disputing you, I just don't know. What I do know however is that he's be goading Trump for years and hasn't (to my knowledge) got sued.

I think he's overrated as an intellectual because he had a big vocabulary and good grammar. Constructing intelligentish sounding arguments for why it's moral to nuke Vietnam seems like less than good faith though.

Granted that he's light years ahead of the Trumpenfuher Fox News Breitbart Rush Limbaugh world though.

He did say that.

Here is the quote
"All over Europe, it's happening," Trump said. "It's gotten to a point where it's not even being reported. And in many cases, the very, very dishonest press doesn't want to report it. They have their reasons and you understand that."

I am looking forward his book on the Trump presidency

There has to be some reasonable voices from the right. Can anyone help me find them?
Andrew Sullivan, PJ O'Rourke, Reihan Salam, SE Cupp are conservatives that aren't nut jobs.

I watched his press conference at 1:45. He did indeed say that. Then he went on to mention all of the attacks since 9/11 but curiously enough left out the attack on Muslims ~10 days ago in Canada. Somehow I think if it was a Muslim killing 6 Canadians, it'd be mentioned.

Provided he survives - if Trump does indeed go all Putin then Kurt may be the first to suspiciously fall of a bridge.

I don't think you can fairly call Trump a liar. Being a liar assumes that you know the truth but go against it anyway. To me Trump doesn't have the mental capacity to distinguish truth from fiction which would make lying impossible.

Liars lie because it serves a selfish purpose. But Trump makes foolish statements even when it isn't in his best interests. He just says what makes him feel good. That's not the hallmark of a liar. It's a hallmark of a mental patient.

The rest of what you posted didn't really make any sense, frankly.

Being a liar and being an idiot aren't mutually exclusive. Surely he believes at least some of the crap he spews.

Eichenwald had PROOF INDISPUTABLE that Trump had been committed to a mental institution in the '90s, then he didn't. Then Eichenwald was hospitalised and NEAR DEATH after someone like, tweeted a strobe-light gif at him, then he wasn't. Link.

It looks like this is real, though, so OK.

As always, lol Republicans. Today's issue: executive power!!!

Bush: shreds constitutional protections in the name of national security, signs off on torture, fights to the death to prevent any disclosure surrounding Darth Vader's energy shenanigans. GOP: LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT, why do you hate freedom?

Obama: after two terms of GOP obstruction, goes into DGAF mode and issues a bunch of executive orders. LAWLESS PRESIDENT, unpresidented trampling of the constitution!

Trump: blatant Muslim ban: STFU, Presidents have uuuge power!

Yea they aren't idiots but they all sing from the same hymnbook. S E Cupp has the "persecuted Christian conservatives are the lowest on the totem pole, college social justice warriors are emblematic of everyone on the left" mantra down. They just don't take it to the natural conclusion that Trump/Bannon does, they just do it to rile up the base. Basically Republican establishment culture warriors.
