Just watched this mornings card. much better than expected.

First profitable UFC card since Gus/Manuwa, which is really really nice. went pretty big on the Roy KO line, and Laflare dec line, which took away most of the losses from the Jake Shields/Rick Story disappointments.

Got beltran and Ivanov for 2units each on tonights Bellator card.

lol at Alers thinking a split decision over a nobody gets him a shot at Conor McGregor but I guess he wants a high profile feud, think he needs to beat someone a bit higher ranked to get what he wants though
Alers/McGregor were scheduled to fight for Connor's FW title at Cage Warriors about a year and a half ago... so there is a good chance we see it eventually.

Well, that should be the end of Nog's career, alternatively, we could do one last, Mir vs Nog, loser leaves town. Nogs biggest strength against top 10 guys was his resilience, his chin and BJJ(vs inferior ground guys). His boxing is pretty clean as well, just that his defense has never been the best, but in the past he could absorb it.

For Nelson, he should obviously face Hunt. That fight would be awesome and it makes sense rank wise. Even though I'm a hunt fan, I'd root for Nelson as Hunt has gone haywire christian as of late. I also think it might be winnable for Nelson. This might be the first time anyone is willing to stand and trade equally with Nelson, and his small, surprisingly fast fists have every capability to KO Hunt and his deteriating chin.

Mcgreggor has won what 2 fights in the UFC and already has a few losses on his professional career? This guys manager is an fn genius. If Matt Brown had this guy he'd be getting a title shot against Cain Velazquez after being handed over 3 belts.

Really don't like hype getting rewarded. If you got it be humble in the beginning like Jones, Cain, GSP, Henderson etc.

Does anyone have an update on James Vick? He beat Ramsey Nujen in the summer in 1 min or so and I've seen some of his prior fights on Texas Fight Night. I think he has some potential in the LW division but I haven't seen him fight in 9 months or so. Anyone know what the deal is?

Camozzi (-110) 5d 1.1u to win 1u

Will probably add tons on Nelson if this line holds closer to fight night.
2-0 tonight (suxxx Camozzi fight got cancelled, had a good price) and +3.75u

lol, Johnson was ready to tap the second Ivanov hands were in position.

Also Johnson gave up the Von-Flu choke, even though he already had the armed trapped and was in perfect position. Although he turned it into a mount, so w/e.

First real BJJ girl Ronda faces? Though, Ronda will, if not submit her, out MMA her. Seems Alexis has lost to a lot more inferior competition that Ronda has beaten with ease. But, like they say, it's all about the matchup.

After the terrible corner at the wsof a few weeks back this happened at Rfa tonight: http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2014/4/12...fficials-allow

Fighter collapsed between rounds corner revived him and sent him out for next round..... How stupid are these people? The sport will pay heavily for this attitude eventually! Sickening

How many times has a fighter who's faceplanted at any point during a fight ever won it?

That should be fn criminal.

I've seen a boxer do that exact same thing after a 12 rd fight that he was getting beaten on but never knocked down. Turned out his brain was bleeding and he went into a coma and died 3 days later.

Sickening.

Thanx; was gonna bet him at -150 or -160 but got busy at a final table and when I went back the line had moved to -180. Should have put at least 2 units bu ******.

Small brag: had a 4K bet on Big country vig free with another poker player. He just transfered the maneys this morning so very very happy. When he went MIA all of last night I was sure I was gonna gt screwed. Phew running good.

That's not going to go well for you. It's Ronda Rousey. Would snap book you at -300 if you don't want to wait but you're right i'm pretty sure the line will be more like +400 to +500

Only way Ronda can lose the title other than a major injury or old age is to an elite striker who KO's her before she can land a takedown, which imo is basically Cyborg or Holm, Davis is a great fighter but will just be another bump in the road

With no injuries UFC 175 is shaping up to be card of the year, I was planning on skipping the WSOP this year but i'm super tempted to just fly in to play the main and watch UFC 175 live now even if that costs me like 2k in flights/accom. I can't even remember a time when the top three fights of a card was this strong recently (Weidman/Machida, Rousey/Davis and Wandy/Chael) and the card isn't even finished yet.

I'm holding a seminar on the 5th so will miss the undercard but still interested in going. Let me know if you're heading over swoop and we can sort out tickets (might stick to ticketmaster this time....)

Ronda Makes Alot of small mistakes on the ground, that just won't work against a BJJ blackbelt like Davis. An example is that side control headlock she held for like 3 minutes vs Liz Carmouche. It's a move that works well in Judo due to being stood up, but in BJJ/MMA it is very easy to take ones back from there, and that isn't something Davis will miss. She also leaves her self very open for sweeps with her open guard passing. Also, she just plain out has Alot of holes in her passing, whcih may cause her to get stuck in closed guard for the first time, which will be very interesting. Not to mention she has also had her back taken twice so far (Meisha, and Carmouche) and was able to escape with no real danger, she won't be able to escape without paying some sort of price vs Alexis.

I just think this is a bad matchup stylistically. Would bet heavy on Tate/Cat vs Davis, however i think Davis has the ability to capitalize on these small holes Ronda leaves open.

Mir VS Nog would be a good draw esp. in Brazil as a co main event. Both of their careers are essentially done and since Mir doesn't punch too hard this would be a good match like their 2nd. Nice pay day for both.

I made good money betting Alexis Davis in her last couple of UFC fights, both straight up, with a decision prop and with the points in live betting. But I can't imagine that the bookmakers open up her line anywhere near +200. She's definitely top five in the women's bantamweight division, but I hardly think that she has much of a chance at all against Ronda. I'd probably pass even at +500.
