Yoyobo I believe we had a bet on Cormier vs Rumble in the event it happened with me on Cormier -150 right? (Line seems to be Cormier -146 atm so close to actual opener)

Did we actually book that or was it my imagination? I don't remember and im happy either way, for 100 right? Let me know as if we have action ill go slightly smaller on any bet I book on DC through a book since alrdy got a unit on.

Cormier is so lucky he should win the belt here a lot. Rumble is lucky too I guess since Jones is the slightly tougher opponent. Personally I think Jones should have been suspended but not stripped until its clear hes out for a year plus and 187 should be for the Interim LHW title but whatever same deal he'll get an automatic title shot when hes back anyway

I hope this means we get Gustafsson vs DC or a Rumble rematch if he can win his next fight and earn a title shot assuming Jones is out for a while I think theres a good chance Gustafsson is champ when Jones gets back if its in 12-18 mths

I think DC is -200ish here and should get the title barring an early flash KO from Rumble

Rumble is a totally different fighter style wise though, he's more of a striker than the striker/wrestler Jones is DC should be able to take him down a lot I think enroute to a 50-45 or 49-46 unless he gets hit hard in round 1

If Rumble has TDD as good as Jones/Gustafsson he has a good chance if not he's a substantial dog

Bader will probably end up fighting Rampage with the winner getting a title shot if Jones isn't done with his legal problems before the end of the year

that's if rampage deals with his in that time but as it stands cormier vs rumble gus vs glover jones rampage and manuwa on shelf he has wins over osp and cavalcante already

best case scenario is little nog has his annual injury and they go bader vs shogun

@swoop i wasn't going to bet in may but if you are in on cormier ill gladly take rumble vs you

Pointless to strip him of the belt if they're not going to kick him out of the UFC. I'm baffled though, how could Sonnen know this fight wasn't happening?

why haven't books canceled jones versus rumble bets?

Cormier should plant Johnson I think. Definitely think he is a justified favorite here.

I thought sonnen was implying pre-fight drug failures when he originally mentioned it wouldn't go ahead.

Jones had the coke and weird testosterone results last time and rumble gave a strange interview a while back saying basically steroids are a rational choice in MMA.

Obv sonnen didn't know jones would have a brainstorm,

They are different fighters what I meant was Jones broke Cormier mentally in the fight when he was previously unbeaten. Think it was at the end of round 3 when Javier Mendez said "Do you want this?" and Cormier responded pretty despondently "I'm trying."
Jones dominated from there.

I'm not sure if Cormier will be the same fighter, Rumble shrugged off Phil Davis with relative ease so he has decent takedown defence just depends if he can maintain that for 5 rounds.

Depends I guess on whether Cormier is strong enough mentally. The first 3 rounds of Jones/Cormier was back and forth before Jones broke him, I have a feeling it'll be entirely one sided in Rumble/Cormier, the question being which way the one sided fight goes and I suspect that comes down to whether Rumble can drop him in the first 2-3 minutes because if not I think he'll be in trouble. Quite liking the Cormier -133ish or w/e is on offer atm we'll see which way it goes I guess. Just under a 4 week camp for Cormier is shortish, but I assume he was training for Bader anyway so should be plenty of time to make the necessary adjustments.

@yoyobo not sure if we discussed it or officially booked it but itll be somewhere in the thread and I have a record of all of my pending bets at home, i'm on a working holiday atm and ill be home on Monday (interesting enough the trip is sportsbetting related; I may be working part time for a sports betting syndicate as well as playing poker moving forward if we can come to terms this week which seems likely; i've seen their setup and it's legit and i'm getting some training in the particular way they crush)

i wonder if they will book bader vs glover 2 since bader's last loss was in 2013 to him or if gus will be back fast enough to rebook

Fired in four 1u bets for the Adelaide card, took Ellis, Whittaker, Matthews and Andrews at an average of about even money (ill check the exact prices later but my risk/return was about even). Ellis and Whittaker as dogs, Matthews as a fav and Andrews at evens

Won 3u or so on Mayweather, lol boxing is so boring

Adelaide card so far

1u Whittaker +142
1u Matthews -165
1u Ellis +135
1u Andrews -105

If you told me a year ago i'd be taking Matthews as a fav over Vick i'd have laughed but Matthews looked way better than Vick in their last wins and the UFC def wants Matthews to win so he can be on the UFC 193 card in Melbourne fighting someone decent

Ellis I think should beat Bec if she can get takedowns, I think Bec is really overrated and had Heather Smith as a dog last time, will keep fading her every time she's a favourite pretty much. Fading an Australian in Australia isn't as scary as fading the locals in some other countries imo

Not sure I like the Andrews bet as much as I thought at first, but it's probably ok and he's the home crowd fav etc which is always nice for close decisions

Stipe is tempting in theory but Hunt is at home and motivated I assume by the potential of a title shot or #1 contender fight at UFC 193 depending on how HW results play out over the next few months so i'll prob stay away there

Whittaker I think is close to a flip with Tavares, Tavares has more experience fighting top 25 fighters but Whittaker is improving and looked good at 185, I think he matches up well stylistically as well plus is fighting at home in a fight that's got a good chance to be a 29-28 type close fight and of the two I think he's more likely to land the one punch KO

I'm 2/2 betting Kelly as a dog and while he should lose to Alvey, if his price keeps climbing due to how bad he looked last fight in his win I may end up putting an odds play on anyway, Alvey is lowish volume and Kelly still does have olympic judo even if he doesn't use it much. +315 is getting tempting, if it gets up to +350 I might have to fire.

Wrestling credential hype seems to carry alot of weight with the lines.
