I just watched a new release. Extraction.

A mindless, shoot-em-up, violent action movie that I really enjoyed. The Bangladesh sets were an extra bonus.

Tried watching it, got bored 40 minutes in, which is odd as mindless violent action usually checks everything I want in a movie

Lots of people seem to like Money Heist, I hated the first episode, all I saw was super cheesy totally derivative mehness.

I watched a couple more episodes to see if it got better due to its good rep and it did improve a bit, but I am now stuck in a mostly hating it but am invested so will finish it masochism zone with it.

Does S2 get "better" or is it more of the same and it just not my CoT, if so no way am I starting S2.

Thieves of the Wood was a solid 8/10 for me. Reminded me of a more complex take on the Robin Hood story.

I feel like I probably missed some of the nuance in the dialogue because I was relying on the subtitles, but overall very well done show. Solid acting, interesting story, perfect pacing.
Also boobs!

It's amazing how many good to great shows Netflix has put out that I had never even heard of because they weren't in English. If you can get past reading subtitles theres another huge library of stuff to watch. When I have time I'll have to list all the non-English Netflix shows I liked that I've only discovered in the past ~year.

Speaking of boobs. I watched Melancholia the other day. What a terrible movie. I can only imagine it made it to my list of movies to watch because of Kirsten Dunst's amazing boobs. It's not on Netflix, I watched it on Tubi. It doesn't matter though because you definitely should not watch it.
