It could be my imagination, but I'm pretty sure that my 3.0 phone is faster and has better phone performance than my jailbroken 2.2.1. Hope that lasts when the new jailbreak comes out, which I really hope is soon.

2 quick things, has anyone noticed that the double click mic to skip song is slow (it could be my earphones), or thE shake to skip is slow, or that reorientation from portrait to landscape is slow in the new OS? I think all of those are slower on mine but i could be imagining it and in need of new earbuds.

and secondly, the little kid in my want Scarab of Ra as an app, its an old shareware program that doesnt run on my macbook's OS, anyway anyone know to get it on the phone?

yeah quickpwn is the best jailbreak tool from what i hear, both in ease of use and in being the most efficient tool (not slowing the phone down as much as the others). no clue how accurate that is but it's what i've heard.

Has anyone used the "Textfree" app?

On messages I send, there is a signature added "-sent from Textfree". Does this go away with the paid version?

I posted about Pocket Tunes somewhere in this thread. It costs $9.99, but I can stream Sirius without having to upgrade to the extra $3.00/month streaming package. I can get Howard. Not sure about NFL games since it's not football season, but I can get NFL radio channel, so I'm assuming the games will be on there too.

or go to settings > mail, contacts, calenders > import sim contacts. i'm pretty sure that's all the guy at the att store will do.

thanks. any case recommendations? do people actually carry these around case-less without getting them beat up and scratched within a week?

My favorite is the Incase Slider. You also have put an anti-glare film on the front of the phone. You can pick them both up at the Apple Store, but not At&t.

The good thing is that all cases for the 3g will fit on the 3gs.

I have this case. Although I basically had to email and remind them to send it, it is a pretty good one.

Does anyone have any experience with battery cases like this: http://www.mophie.com/juice-pack-air...-ip3g-blk.htm? The idea sounds great, almost double the battery life, and at least in the pictures it seems relatively small. I've heard some complaints about it hurting signal strength though which would be a deal breaker.

I gotta say I've noticed no improvements in 3.0 except the obvious - software. In fact I don't even see how they COULD get the processor to run faster or the battery to last longer by updating the software. As of yet I'm still not certain whether I'm the one who doesn't understand hardware/software relationships, or you guys are.
