EDIT: Alright, I called from another phone and left a VM. I hadn't seen this part yet, because I've caught all the calls since I've had this. There was no indication of the VM showing up. I did call my number, and there was a VM. So that probably means it's not working, lol.

It was pretty buggy when I first installed. I re-installed it (just jailbreak again) and it's been fine since then.

Yeah. I keep getting, "You need to install critical updates"...then I do and it says "Internal Error, Could not perform immediate configuration (2) on gzip"

I have Installous installed and was able to use it. I have Backgrounder installed and it doesn't work. I have Winterboard and none of the settings work.

I re-jailbroke...didn't get any errors from the Cydia updates, but again, Backgrounder & Winterboard do not work...they are there, but they don't work. Now I am restoring this bitch to factory settings. I am going to try and JB fresh once more, and if that doesn't work, I will re-restore and temporarily give up. I am way too busy for this ****.

I've read elsewhere that Backgrounder just doesn't work on 3.0, but Winterboard should.

This is probably a noob question, but I'm going to try to undertake this tonight.

I'm still on JB 2.2.1. What is the correct way to upgrade to 3.0 before trying to JB?

Is it as simple as plugging in the phone and hitting restore, then hitting update?

I already have itunes 8.2.

I do not have a 3Gs, I have 3G. Winterboard is working okay, I think any issues I've had are with Cydia. I've had to reinstall packages on several occasions, but that doesn't take too much work.

Finally got done updating to 3.0 and jailbreaking. Not hard, but it takes forever to do.

I had this problem the first time I went through. I restored again (ugh) then when I re-jailbroke, I just installed Cydia and unchecked the option to install Icy. I had no problems after that when doing the essential updates to Cydia.

Now just redownloading all my cydia apps....

You only really need either CYdia or Icy, so installing both is not necessary. I prefer Icy, but Cydia has a lot of advantages when it comes to dependency work.

I just got a 3GS though, so I can't really offer any help on Jailbreaking yet. Soon hopefully though, because I don't like the default iPhone interface anymore.

Finally got mine jailbroken. It seems to be an issue with redsn0w on Vista 64-bit. Did it on Windows7 64-bit and it worked fine the first time.

I got tethering working over the week end played around with it for an hour or so. I am playing in a tourny $22 deep stack on stars now while tethering
started at 9:00am had to switch to my data card cause iphone dosnt charge while tethering. was 1st in tourny for 2 hours field had caught me and now in second. anyone know anyway to config so phone will charge while tethering?

Upgraded and re-jailbroke last night. Everything works great.

Does anyone use the multibar lockscreen? If so, how do I modify the bars that show up? For example, by default it shows weather for NYC which isn't terribly useful for me in MN...

I had to do a little bit of work in iphone browser since some of the apps have changed names with 3.0. Mostly just changing the names of some of the icons before I moved them over.
