Alright cool. The reason I was trying to be so careful is that the level of nonchalance you just described (just haphazardly download it) is what I did with Full Tilt Poker back in the day, and then I was never able to get rakeback on there for the years I played on there, and it cost me literally thousands of dollars.

I haven't played since Black Friday, so this new world of not having to be careful as hell about not downloading the client before setting rakeback up is a new thing for me. That's not how it used to be.

So yea, I realize I come off crazy to some of you who didn't go through that in the previous era, but hopefully you can comprehend why I was being so cautious...

Also, let's say I got a PM from someone that I could get additional perks by using their promo code of their affiliate or something like that when I do my signup on ACR. And let's say they have a decent postcount history on here. This is pretty normal/legit, I assume, and how most people do it when they do this on ACR, right? I can't imagine how I could get scammed if I'm not giving any personal info and am just typing their promo code into some box somewhere during my signup process. But, figured I should ask about it just in case, since I've already revealed what a paranoid freak I am, so what's one additional paranoia-resolving question added on to the rest, lol.

Yup, that was definitely a concern back in the day. If you didn't go through certain processes at account signup, then you were ****ed.

It would be awesome if SNC would update so I could know where I stand heading into the last day of the week.

I find it amusing that the "rake" is .12 for a $2 Jackpot, and yet if the Win Amount is $4 - they're taking $2 in rake out.

You would think the rake would be a higher credit.

What did that guy mean by "switching" and "switching back" in regards to rakeback?

Is there some alternate version of rakeback like a Frequent Player Points system and he means switching back and forth between rakeback vs that, like you can pick one or the other but not both? Or did he mean something else by it? I only recently just got back into online poker so I don't know hardly anything about ACR or anything that happened in the past 8 years, so, would be good if people can explain what he meant by that in a bit more depth. Thanks

There is no more affiliate type of system anymore. You can just download the client.

By default, you will get 27% rakeback.

There is a second program called VIP (I think) that gives out points and the like - and is geared towards high volume players. This VIP program gives points instead of rakeback. Those points are used for cash, etc.

Customer Service will switch you to the VIP program once I believe.

If you follow this thread previously, it looks like the VIP program is having massive issues with shorting people points since their software update in May of last year.

My advice would be just to stick with the rakeback.

Ummm, read up on Jackpots $4 is one of the possible outcomes, so is $8, $12, $16, and a few more all the way up to $5k. That's kinda the point of Jackpot SnGs.

This is a tilt post but seriously, what is even the point of the Time Bank Countdown sound if it will only play when it wants to. Can't even begin to count the amount of Timebank which went to waste for me on MTTs while I was busy with other tables!

I've gotten $40 three separate times and $400 once. I don't grind those so I am way ahead of the rake in EV.

I thought it was the opposite, that you are automatically in the VIP program but have to ask to switch to rakeback.

That's what I had to do when I started playing on ACR around 2014'ish. Maybe they flip-flopped it since then?

It is, Elite Benefits is the automatic, you have to request to be rakeback. Most players get far less on Elite Benefits.

I understand that concept. I think if you weighed it out over the long run, the effective rake isn't .06 per $1. That's all I'm saying.

They give the exact weights of each of the tiers on their website, you can go calculate for yourself what the rake is.

doubting the accuracy of the award points I have earned in the bonus lobby.
Do not see anything for many of the sessions I have had. Says I have earned 550 points just about halfway through this. That would put me at 1100 points for a month. Last 4 months I have done about 2000 month.

I live chatted support and they told me that after checking I was shorted about 150 points and they credited me.
Also told me that it stops updating at 10pm costa rican time. Have no idea when it starts updating again.
Ill have to take their word for it that was all I was shorted since I have absolutely no idea. It still seems that 15 days in since we can start clearing the build bonus with me trying harder then usual to get points I am way short of my prior 4 months avg pts per month pace.
Someone remind me next year when they have one of these build your bonus promotions to not bother.

Random question but does the PT4 HUD work fine for the fast fold games on ACR? How do these games play? Very nitty? And for those who have played both, how do they compare to the fast fold games on BetOnline?
