I stopped playing on carbon a year n half ago due to cashouts and no rewards, but i decided I'd maybe give it a try. When i tried to login it wouldn't let and it said my account was suspended or disabled due to security purposes????? Not sure what that is all about, maybe because i stopped playing and they were like **** you, or something else? Has anyone had a similar experience?

Have had account disabled when they realized I had a mildly vulgar screen name.

I remember after black friday that it seemed like Merge wasn't looking to grow too big since poker stars, full tilt, etc had to ban usa players once they grew big enough to catch the Department of Justice's eye.

Recap, turns out I lost 1st place by 1 point due to stopping a hour early because the race runs on CST or CDT or CT, whatever the **** the proper term is, it's a hour off my time, lol.
Last update on this, turns out most of this was all wrong and I've been trying to get it straight for about a week. It all came to a head today when I spoke with a supervisor but after chatting with them guess it's just a CS supervisor which means nothing in terms of being knowledgeable about the site, according to their responses. I'll just post the final chat log here, split into three uploaded pics.

A little background, a few days before this exchange I had two email exchanges with CS, one in which I sent them screenshots clearly showing how the leaderboard was tallying points, including times and dates. There seems to be no way anyone looking at them couldn't understand that the leaderboard was operating on GMT -4 or aligned with my current time zone, not CST, GMT -5 or whatever other times they kept spouting. I had rethought my decision to withdraw completely but after all this I just can't with Carbon.

Yep and I think the ".6%" was being generous since I calculated my reload bonus to be 5% exactly. I guess a positive is, even though a max $1000 bonus would likely never get fully released at most stakes within 45 days, it is released in $20 increments/4000 player points/$400 in paid rake.

I've been getting 10% deposit bonuses on Carbon for depositing with Bitcoin. Does anyone know how I get these bums to actually credit it to my account. I've been playing tourneys and cash games and the bonuses just sit there showing 0% progress.

lol, I went through the same thing when I first deposited and take this with a grain of salt, Carbon CS stated that those are strictly for betting and certain casino games, not poker. I ended up just deleting them because they kept misleading me about my total bankroll, since it counts towards the total account balance, for whatever reason.

My Carbon account was blocked a few days ago, so I asked support and got this reply:

****

Dear mela,

Thank you for contacting us.

We strive to maintain a healthy and balanced environment for all of our recreational players. Your activity and caliber of play are not conducive to this environment so we have restricted your access to our poker room. Please note you may continue to use our other products.

****

From the sound of it, I think they are trying to kick me out of their poker room because well, I've been winning too much money lately (from their POV). Has anyone experienced this? Also, what are my options here, besides just sucking it up and moving on to another site?

Thanks a lot!

After I emailed them and asked what was going on because I've been fully verified having several cashouts and a few deposits, I even used some of my funds to buyin to their pcpc package when they had that in 2012. They responded with that I am now able to login, there was absolutely no exclamation why this happened and they apologized for the inconvenience. So pretty disturbing they can just do whatever they want whenever.

It's funny how they hold rake races which encourage grinding, but then they punish grinders by banning or table-limiting them. In addition, certain grinders are banned while others are allowed to persist unrestricted. Mind boggling.

Apparently you were skinning the sheep instead of shearing them. Do you cashout a lot?

this has happened to a few winning players on Carbon. a friend of mine was banned from the poker room in November. Some people who were banned contacted support and got the bans lifted. He did not, however a few in this thread reported that they were able to play again with a 1 or 2 table restriction.

Allowing him to sit in wait for fish all day in the turbo/reg speed Heads Up lobby's.

Action is soooo slow for this game type that i suspect out of an 8 hour day he spends 4~ playing nobody. Witch makes it even more of a joke that he isn't willing to even try against me.

It's pretty scummy and pathetic.
I assume it should be easy on merges end to see it's intentional
(Only timing down on our tables, while simultaneously playing other games)

Not sure what else to do aside from grief him and laugh that this is his only hope.
He just did it vs me in hypers. What a pos.

Wow. I didn't realize they were still doing this. Did your cashout options change after getting banned?

This site is so dead. None of the morning MTTs have even gone off this week as they aren't hitting the minimum 4/5 entrants to start.

the whole thing is really disappointing that they seem to be using this new withdrawal method that people are really excited about to charge high fees. and that's after ppl have raked a ton on the site to get a sum to wdraw. its also ridiculous because it obviously costs them more to process/print/mail a check, which has always been a free wdraw option, then to click a button to send bitcoin.

given that check times seem to be down to 3-4 weeks and I can get the $ I need off other US sites that have better liquidity I almost wish I had never gone the bitcoin route tbh. I guess it's just a tradeoff of whether you feel the fees are worth being able to get your money within 48 hours, which is obv. awesome.

but yeah for those that still have the check option, consider the tradeoffs here...
I guess you're right but after all the issues on Merge concerning cashouts not that long ago, if I can only have one, I'd much rather be left with a fast, though slightly fee heavy withdrawal option like BTC vs fee free, potentially lengthy others.
