That was two cashes out of 8 events where he had re-entries to multiple tournaments. In Cyprus last month he went 0 for 9 and even if he didn't re-enter any (he did) he came out -$415,000

Joe Cada top 4 in chips in the Monster Stack with 35 players left from 8,317 starting.

Gotta be one of the best large field NLHE players ever, one of the luckiest, or both.

If Phil Ivey can get at least 2nd place in the $50k PPC, he will be in the green overall for WSOP tournaments this year.

Came here to see if anyone caught Hellmuth's limp-fold with TT during the NLHE round of the PPC. I'm so confused.

He survived Day 4 and is going into Day 5 as the short stack with seven remaining due to this failed triple barrel in a blind vs blind SRP.

Could someone explain the “did not report” on the chip counts? Why does it not show the person’s name? Clearly they reported at some point otherwise they wouldn’t have built up a chip stack.

As a casual player, it feels defeating playing these events nowadays when I see the same crushers going deep in every single event. How these guys consistently navigate through massive fields is astonishing. I went deep in the Monster this year and my table on the last level of day 2 was filled with elite players, which was quiet annoying considering the overall level of play in a $1500 event

I don't think this is a new phenomenon. I've played 30-something WSOP events over the past 12 years (mostly $1500 but in various different games). And I consistently have the experience of feeling like a big favorite at almost all my Day 1 tables, but a clear underdog on Day 2. I have a 30% cash rate but I'm still down money for my WSOP career. :/

Yea I guess your right, not new, however it definitely feels more congested with good players than past years. But, it's been 5 years since I've played so times have changed it seems.

It’s not like that, we as followers of poker probably have knowledge, or at least name recognition, of hundreds of pros. So when 2 of them go deep we say omg the pros always go deep, not remembering that the other 198 pros we know punted out.

It is usually because players scribble their name when they bag up for the night and it can't be read by anyone. So, it gets listed an Did Not Report.
How those players find there seat the next day is a mystery to me. I guess they have to cruise around the tables and look for their bag.
