Seriously guys I expected to know more by now based on my well informed ideas to do with this situation. Don't these people understand that if they don't provide me with twitter updates that no one will take them seriously when it comes to relaunching the site???????? Honestly if Tapie isn't posting in this thread everyday it proves he's a ****ing amateur.

I know you're being sarcastic but it does seem like they could do more to keep the players informed.

Personally I really couldnt care less about the affiliate. And you, as an affiliate, should be more bothered about the players getting their money than the affiliates getting theirs. Think about it....

Ok, so being completly uninformed I guess it´s 50:50 that there will be positive news about an agreement between FTP1 shareholders and GBT before Christmas. If there won´t be any positive news before Christmas I guess it´s 50:50 that the proposed deal will be dead. What do you think / hope / expect? Noah, DF, anybody - have you heard anything at all?

I have to 2 withdrawals in limbo. I sent Jeff Ifrah a pm regarding this problem and this was his answer:

Yes, the current deal with Tapie would require the money be in your account upon relaunch.

The picture of the somehow sad-looking, long-haired guy on the HP of FTP is one of "Jesus" Ferguson, right? Before the still working guys from FTP1 are re-opening a "zombied Shop" as of now I would prefer a removal of this picture, as it is not very trust-building after all that had happened...

This is a bit ambiguous (at least when we can't see your question). Does this mean that the deal between GBT and X (DOJ or FTP) require GBT to put the money which is in limbo back into the FT account? Or does it mean "in order for you to be able to withdraw money, it must be in your account; limbo money doesn't count". I know the second interpretation is a bit ridiculous, but it's pretty important to clarify these things.

Imagine if this goes through, And Tapie turns out to be the white knight we all hope he is.

Could you imagine the reaction he would get if he walked into the WSOP Main Event and gave the "Shuffle up and deal!" announcement? The place would be going wild the whole time. Hopefully he is a man of ego and wants to be adored and loved by the masses,

and to those who keep claiming hes not serious about buying or should be communicating more, imagine if he set himself up as a white knight (more than he already has / more than we have already made him out to be) and then FAILED to be that white knight, the affect would be almost the opposite. I think we've seen here often enough how easily people re-direct their bitterness towards people / groups / things that likely had very little or nothing to do with FTP's criminality (DOJ, Jeff Ifrah, martians, crab people, etc).

the man doesn't need to build us up any more than we already have done to ourselves...

...
I suspect the majority of ME players won't have FTP accounts or have had enough money in them to care.

Well, at least Merkozy (partially) saved the Euro, this should be good for french / european investors.

The whole FTP saga reminds me more and more of (parts of) the plot of "Casino Royale"...

I'm freaking out about this. Sent an email to Ifrah for clarification.

EDIT: His reply:

Those would be treated as in your account. This is all up to Tapie of course, but I cannot imagine you would be penalized in the way you fear.

My followup to Ifrah:

Quote:
Thank you, that is comforting to hear. A lot of his future customers will be in the same boat as I since FTP stopped finalizing non-US players' withdrawal attempts around a month before it went down. It would definitely be a bad business decision to not honour these withdrawals, and I'm glad you agree.

His reply:

Same situation with Netteller. A lot of players in this position for sure.
