Looked at OP posts and didn't see anything regarding latest developments. Where are these rumors of possible FTP payouts stemming from?

All of the FTP payout rumors are based on the original announcement of an agreement between GBT and the DOJ, and the posts by several people with sources that GBT and FTP are in negotiations over their agreement (and we're supposed to have news relatively soon).

Everything else is really just speculations (some informed, some less so) about how repayment would look depending on certain contingencies.

The OP hasn't been updated since the GBT/DOJ agreement because there's not a ton to update right now, no actual stories about the GBT/FTP negotiations are out because they've been in negotiations for months now. We just have a general idea what exactly they are negotiating right now, and this is the farthest anyone has gotten into the sale process with FTP.

Heard it a lot before! Have a degree in Linguistics though, not heard it so much from poker players

It's just easiest to promote.
Almost a zero chance they can move that quickly and even worse chance considering FTP employees are also still entitled to spend time with their families at Christmas.

What indication is there the announcement JRB is referring to has anything to do with ftp?
12-07-2011 , 06:04 PM
Is this another in a long line of scum bag moves pulled by FTP?

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/29...nated-1136411/

At least the PPA and the FTP pros got paid.

It's funny when I check this thread on the android app and it shows a new post has been made to the thread and I check it but then it still shows the previous post as the last and I keep forgetting I've put nearly half the people in this thread on ignore.

Good point

I would think end of January/early February is still likely given no major hiccups occur in the meantime. I would also be pretty damn pleased to get my funds back by March (2012). Fingers crossed.

If Christopher Columbus hadn't got in his boat that day, this would not have happened

I don't really expect to see any money this year. Here's a challenge for the US players that will help the time pass faster -- how about all of us agree that we'll do the PPA action plan for the day before posting in any thread speculating about FT? Each one of us will agree that we'll do every tweet and every FB post before posting a single word. Sure it may serve no purpose, but since we don't have our FT monies it will help the time pass more quickly.
This country doesn't deserve online poker. I hope it never passes here.
