the DOJ seized funds and cut US players from playing on line. The ripple effect caused ftp to shut down

They also never had a value below ~$3/1000. Assuming you were black card, I think the $5K bonus was like $4.5/1000. They clearly should be valued, if paid out, somewhere in that range.

And on an unrelated note, I know it's kinda gotten lost in the news that broke Friday but do we know who is guaranteeing FTP's salaries for August?

Have there been any estimates as to what the total value of FTP pts, medals, etc are worldwide? (using the value of these things before BF, so maybe $4/1000)

I'd think something like 30-40 million maybe?

If there is $30-$40M in FTP's value out there, then there would be something like ~10B FTP's.

But PS/FTP would only have to pay out the US account balances, as presumably, ROW would be able to play on FTP under PS management.

I'm not sure what exactly you're implying, but PS would still have to set aside the money to fill FTP store orders for ROW players, it would still be a Pokerstars assumed cost of FTP and possibly required to be a segregated debt.

So while it might be true that only US FTP's would need to be converted to cash and immediately paid. It's also true that ROW FTP would be an immediate cost to Pokerstars upon relaunch, if that is a cost they are taking on.

I don't think it would be shocking if they just converted both, surely much of the FTP store merchandise is outdated. Convert FTP to cash --> place into account cashiers --> reset new FTP store = fewer complications, more freedom, less work.

I wish I did xfer history too. I did get my Ironman page, though.

I took a screenshot also but I doubt those are going to matter. Seems like it would be super easy for someone to photoshop their balance.

this option was NOT available to any ROW players as when the site went down the site went down and no information was available

The first two paragraphs here are assumptions. We do not know if FTP still has a huge back stock of all the things that were in their store. And really why wouldn't they?

Also we don't know if PS will even keep the FTP store for ROW players and may just implement the same things that PS runs now.

That being said, I completely agree with the last paragraph here, that it would be far easier to just convert to cash for everyone.

And Wendeen said she was going to answer more questions related to the FTP deal today, has that happened yet?

Because they are Full Tilt.

Scott Lederer, Howard's cousin, worked as an intermediary between FTP and the merchandise suppliers. (See quadjacks article a while back). I don't believe they had a warehouse with items in them. More likely, someone places an order and Scott Lederer contacts a supplier and has the item shipped to him or straight to the player.

I will mention that one of my good memories of FTP customer service was when I ordered a 46 inch LCD and it arrived with a damaged pixel - just a tiny little spot. I notified them and they had another sent and that one picked up. (That tv did fizzle out a year and a half later, though).

I am one of the suckers that had a significant withdrawal in process from Full Tilt prior to Black Friday. I am really wondering how the hell I am gonna unwind that with FT/PS and get paid. Somehow I feel like my situation is going to be much more complicated than peeps with just regular balances in their account. Hoping for some clarification on that as this thing *hopefully* unfolds.

answer some questions, wendeen! it's already 9:30pst/12:30est!

I had the same thing, 5-figs in transit from FTP to Neteller that never came.

I figure since I still have the withdrawal e-mails with the transaction IDs I'll be fine. Worst case, Neteller would even be able to confirm the payment was never made.

But I'm pretty sure all that will have already been dealt with by FTP employees and the outstanding amounts credited back to our accounts at some point during the last year of downtime they've had to work on it. I think DF said something similar, too.

I also have ~10k in about 5-6 different cheque withdrawals pending. I would think that there are many people in this boat and am hoping that they will honor those pending cashouts. I can relate to why you feel added doubt because of this but I think that pokerstars will make things right. I have all my confirmation numbers and emails for those withdrawals saved, do you?

I definitely don't still have the withdrawal email from Full Tilt which is concerning. Obviously WORST case I could veritfy with my bank that the funds never arrived. It was a SIGNIFICANT withdrawal.
I am hoping, as someone and Possibly DF mentioned, they simply would have creditied the funds back to my account. Somehow I doubt it will be that easy.
Although after all the hurdles we have had to cross, I would be thankful just to have the opportunity to worry about this problem. Fingers crossed it will be worked out.

Again, somehow I doubt it will be this easy. I will probably have to jump through hoops. Oh well.

I think most people tried cashing out on Black Friday and that money ended in limbo.

That money has most likely already been refunded to our accounts or is ready to be refunded at the click of a button (imo). What else have FTP workers been doing for the past year and a half?

I had ~5k in limbo and am not really worried about it being accounted for. FTP has full account histories and knows that anyone who cashed out on or around Black Friday (from the U.S. at least) did not receive it.

Also, we already know they worked to reverse phantom deposits, or at least figured out that doing so would save them like $9-11 million (don't remember the exact amount). Don't think you can reverse phantom deposits, yet keep phantom withdrawals.
