If there were an extension filed it might not show up on pacer till sometime early next week. Right?

Edit: never mind I see you edited your post to include the possibility it might not show up on pacer till next week.

So im assuming that is straight from the DOJ and they said FTP is close to new ownership. That seems huge?

While I'm not sure, I don't believe that is true. Justia is generally a couple of days behind. For example, last week's extension was filed was filed Friday and was on Justia on Sunday. However the Bitar document was filed today and is on pacer.

Bitar turning himself in has nothing to do with any ps/doj deal for FTP assets. He may claim that for pr purposes but it is not true. The guy is a crook who orchestrated the theft of 400 million dollars. People really think he is trying to get players repaid? That is the last thing on his mind.

He probably knew there was a grand jury investigating FTP and other online poker operations. About a year before BF there was a report in the Financial Times that a grand jury was looking into FTP,so I imagine that Bitar heard about it.

I recommend reading the document and drawing your own conclusions.

I feel like Noah made a post a while back to where he said some positive things about Bitar's attempts to repay players. Not that its a big deal but Noah gave the impression Bitar was actually working hard to get things worked out.

That could be correct, I know Justia sometimes can a few days but i'm not really sure about pacer.

Pacer documents are generally available as soon as they're filed I believe.

He sure did a great job preparing the company. Things like that are pretty enraging. Why not just keep taking deposits you can't collect when your business is about to be cut of from the market? I hope he gets life.

He attempted to access $24 million that the doj was unaware of!!! Wow. I wonder how many other accounts he has that they dont know of. What a peice of ****

i kind of remember this too, but at the same time, the guy is nearly 100% responsible for getting the company into this mess to begin with. others can and should take some of the blame for not doing more to stop it, but he knowingly let the company be looted and tried to cover it up for as long as possible.

you deny that he, as an owner of FTP, has not been in negotiations to permit the sale of the company?

So if there were a safe, easy, and legal way to buy and sell people's FTP $ (and there obviously isn't), what would the going rate be right now?

I would guess somewhere between 60 and 75 cents? Is that high? low? Just curious.

PACER is generally within an hour or two. Can depend on what time of day the pleading is filed, and can end up not showing on PACER until the following morning. Also, sometimes, ECF/PACER servers are taken down for a few hours for maintenance, so no updates during that time.

If there is no risk of default, the going rate should be at least 90 cents now.

This difference is, PACER is the official search site of the U.S. Courts, and JUSTIA, as far as I know, pulls everything off PACER and puts it up on their site. So PACER would necessarily be quicker, because it goes straight from ECF filing to PACER.

"That the defendant eventually decided to return to face the prior version of the charges – shortly before new ownership was expected to take over at Full Tilt Poker and terminate Bitar anyway, jeopardizing his ability to remain in Ireland"

I assume the new ownership is Stars, but why would this jeopardize his ability to remain in Ireland?
