Cm clearly said he guessed Tuesday.

Guessed. Guessed.

Stop and think, people, before you get your torches out.

This week is all we have.... we don't have any speculation till then. This is just a mess. Getting kinda old too, about ready to just say F my 20k on there.

Not that it's very interesting, but I think people mostly have/had this figured. The news broke in April. China took a WAG that a deal would close around now. Anyone might do this for 'reputation'. Joey tracks down more value to the potential reputation boost. Dan Druff 'confirmation' means nothing at all; for all we know, China whispered a name to TW and TW acknowledges that that name would have inside knowledge.

so disappointed in 2p2 right now

I don't see how getting a reputation as a liar could increase viewership, or that anyone could think that it would.

Maybe I'm off base here.
If it fails its a trolololol and he gets a bunch of attention from the thread. If he succeeds he's a prophet or gets superjollies for being some sort of insider.

At this point, after 13 months of reading this thread, I just want a conclusion one way or the other. I have a significant amount of money tied up, and I would double fist pump if the deal happens. But I will also double fist pump once this thread is closed. I spend at least 20 minutes a day on this whole FTP situation. I'm just getting tired of it. End rant/

Not quite sure if this has been posted.... I think china has got in my head, because im starting to think that he does have a source of some sort.

I just hope that everyone who is trying to conclude this deal doesn't have the mindset of , "well they have waited this long, what's another 2 months or so".

People need to understand that Pokerstars is dealing with massive DOJ issues on its own. Since any FTP negotiations would involve them it is very likely they are under specific direction not to talk about anything. From the DOJ, from their own council etc etc.

Also I don't think people realize 400 million dollars is a huge amount of money. Apple is the largest market cap company and is sitting on close to 100 billion dollars and they would consider 400 million a major deal. Anyone would. For that kind of investment there has to be substantial value.

I don't doubt that Pokerstars has/is in discussions about FTP but still they would need to get something worth the money out of it and it is not clear that the equity exists in all shapes and forms to do that.

Some of us said tge Tapie deal didn't make sense unless he was essentially getting it for nothing. That was the case. I know people want their money but when I still read posts where it sounds like people have put their life on pause for this to resolve I want to slap them goofy.

All of us had to know early on the mess that FTP was shown to be being traded for everyone's money back was nearly a pipe dream. Everyone should have proceeded accordingly. I can still see a few possible items that might make the deal worthwhile but I have a hard time seeing why the other party would give it to them.

Back to the point Pokerstars not saying anything means nothing now because they are probably being gagged by the DOJ.

I wish everyone well but anyone just waiting on their money is doing themselves a disservice.

Why would the CEO of chili poker have any insight to the high level management dealings of Pokerstars? It is like some of you think running a sizable company is like being the 27 year old assistant manager at Burger King.

Even if Pokerstars is doing something the number of people in Pokerstars who know about it is absolutely minimal.

Lol, obviously not if it got out. Also, if Shaun Deeb had inside info.... think it's a little bit more known that you think.

This post is depressing, but it's mostly right imo.

Pokerstars is not going to say a damn word until they can say "Sorry, we're not involved" or "The deal is finished, you are getting your money." Anything they say "in process" would be a huge negative freeroll. There's simply nothing to gain. It would appease the news-hungry for about 20 minutes, and then they'd be right back to where they are, meanwhile, if stars said one thing then later was forced to say something different, the backlash would be massive.

Major companies don't talk about multimillion dollar jobs while they are in process unless they're angleshooting (see: anything released by GBT). That's just how it goes.

I feel bad for anyone who had their lives disrupted by the closure of FTP. I'm one of those people - I'm sure some have it worse and some don't, but the quality of my life today is a significant step down from where it could be because of the money I lost when FTP went under.

That said, anyone who is still hanging on every moment, suffering every day, desperate for the cash, etc. probably needs a reality check. The time to move on was months ago. If the money comes back, that's great, but planning your life around it is just reckless.

I feel bad for the guys who seem to compulsively check this thread every day without really wanting to. It's not FTP's fault (or anyone else's) f you choose to spend an hour a day reading every scrap of commentary that comes in regarding the FTP deal. No one is forcing you. If you really don't want to do it, if it's really affecting the quality of your life, just stop.

The reality of it is that if you never read anything ever posted in this thread, you'll be fine. It's not like you're going to "miss it" if FTP comes back and you aren't reading this thread.

I like your posts but the highlighted part is just stupid and massively tilting.

Again I was told he did it to draw attention to Todd's twitter not himself. China isnt the main focus of the radio show other people are.

There's a lot of problems with this theory: (1) Druff won't have an ownership stake in VPR, (2) It's in general just a really convoluted scheme if the hope is to convert some small % of 2p2ers to follow Todd on twitter, with the only financial upside occurring if some fraction of those can in turn be converted to listeners of the Druff & Drexel show, which will air on two different sites -- only one of which Druff owns (3) China's public image is that of a straightforward guy -- (a) he's had numerous staking arrangements (both as backer and as horse) and afaik no resulting problems or scandals, (b) he's pretty well known among lhe players and generally liked and respected outside of this subforum, and (c) whatever else you think about the whole ordeal with the faux Scott Matusow, China definitely hasn't come off as an evil master-mind here in NVG.

So far what facts you've revealed were already known to at least a handful of people and easily discovered by anyone else with an Internet connection. The only thing you've presented beyond that is the tenuous assertion that this was all a ploy to garner Twitter followers for Druff -- and your only evidence that this is true is that it's what you were told.

I think we need some news from pokerStars soon or we all going to go MAD!
There is a show in Dublin this week for iGaming and Affiliates and I am guessing something might be said there or atleast new rumours as they do....

But more importantly we need solid information PLEASE POKERSTARS.

Where are ya Tompakee?! You haven't been keeping up the good work???

I thought some posters in this thread new employees at Pocket Kings? If so, what are they doing now? Are they still getting paid? Are they still going into work? Are they on some kind of leave without pay until there is resolution in this deal or is Bitar still playing people to stick around?

I believe they're scheduled to be paid their wages on Thursday. There must be a huge shadow cast over them at the moment, as Tapie publicly said that PK only had enough money left to pay April's wages.

From what's available online, they do still appear to be recruiting. Employment websites jobs.ie and worky.com both have a number of positions that have been updated as recently as today.

It's certainly a hot topic in Irish recruitment circles at the moment.

I heard that the Tapie mention on funds left for FTP staff was bulls**t and they have funds up to and past August this year. Who can trust what the Tapie's said anymore.

I wouldn't trust what Ifrah says anymore either. I hear he's been the one privately spreading this August rumour.

Guess you right, the only person you can trust is yourself in the end and anything written on a contract

Absolutely. Perhaps it's a realistic assumption that Stars P2P'd FTP a couple mill to cover this wage bill with the expectancy of announcing the deal at some point in June.

One can but hope.
