I have for some time as well become increasingly irritated when listening to or seeing DN.

In this thread, it appears the defense is that his points are absolutely allowable, which they are. The haters are picking on whatever they can and there are lots of valid points as well, depending how judgmental one wants to be.

But there is something that does not come up in this thread, although it was approached with the above quote:

Has DN ever completed anything that took longer than nine weeks?

How long did All Strategy last? Six weeks?

I have no problem giving him credit where he deserves it. French and Spanish do take some time to learn.





He seems flighty. And to me, it has really hurt the action of a lot of people around him that we also like to follow.

I hated reading that article. As much as it was a good read, when he gets to Miss Hungary, it looks like he copied and pasted what he told us about his ex-wife. And that just reminds me of everyone else that seemed to go that direction...

....and it is disappointing. I didn't really learn anything new and it wasn't really surprising. It was a fine pulpy dramatic read by DN.

As for the hate, I have thought that was just me. He seems like a good kid. But I don't get that he is any more capable of being responsible than 98% of the people in this industry.

+1 to chinamaniac's post. have never understand how phil hellmuth has gotten a pass from seemingly the entire poker world (both casual fans a well as people in a position to be heard). he didn't change a thing after the numerous scandals broke and continued to shill for UB until the day they stopped paying him. at best he was willfully ignorant of what was happening at UB (which is inexcusable given how hard he pimped their product to anyone willing to deposit), at worst he was complicit in the vast web of fraud and deception at ub. daniel i know you are following this thread, i would love to hear how you reconcile your silence on hellmuth with your "i've never been one to stand by while i see people doing wrong" stance.

I found it hard to believe that so many people turned out to support Howard's sisters epic poker league. Annie had to have known what was going on and most likely benefited from it as well. Maybe thats how she's able to run a rake free poker league.
