Karem Shalom is probably a legal target by the laws of war (lol), but the people there being military after all the civilians were evacuated isn't at odds with that also being where Israel was inspecting all the aid shipments that go into Southern Gaza.

And these barely more than child-soldiers were not officers - and this admitting is evidence that Israel discloses deaths of Israeli soldiers, which of course they do.

We don't 100% know anything like that. It could well be that offensive Israeli elements are entering through Karem Shalom as well. We also know almost nothing about how the Hamas military even operates and where decisions like this are made.

I don't see why Hamas wouldn't want a ceasefire. Perhaps they might want to hold out for a better deal for them (more prisoners released or something). Israel (yeah, what Netanyahu says about this is Israel) is not just demanding hostages, he's demanding "total victory", which sounds like he's demanding the death of the people he would supposedly be negotiating with. I don't expect them to agree to that.

it would make sense that they dont want to give them up since these hostages are likely the last chance they will have to fulfil their holy duty of murdering defenseless jews, however, there's also a chance that most or all of their hostages have been raped to death such that dont have any to give back
