We don't 100% know anything like that. It could well be that offensive Israeli elements are entering through Karem Shalom as well. We also know almost nothing about how the Hamas military even operates and where decisions like this are made.
I don't see why Hamas wouldn't want a ceasefire. Perhaps they might want to hold out for a better deal for them (more prisoners released or something). Israel (yeah, what Netanyahu says about this is Israel) is not just demanding hostages, he's demanding "total victory", which sounds like he's demanding the death of the people he would supposedly be negotiating with. I don't expect them to agree to that.
