It's not a theory. It is their philosophy and it is still current.

I really think bovada's angle is:

They prefer hud using, multi tabling regs to play somewhere else.

I do believe they thoroughly enjoy bovada regs. For the most part, bovada regs don't use huds. Bovada is also friendlier to a rec player.

I keep saying that I am going to ACR but I have yet to sign up. Partly because I'm waiting on my check from Bovada but the main reason is because the idea of going to a hud using reg infested site isn't appealing. I have to pay $100 for a hud on top of playing poker because it's the norm on ACR. I really want bovada to get its crap together to make it playable again. I also want a deposit bonus for the inconvenience.

While it maybe their philosophy . They are not going to sabotage their own software PERIOD

That is a theory that is completely absurd

Do you still play on bovada? Are you a reg?

I'm pretty sure that you should be able to see the tables. You might want to try restarting the client. I've occasionally gotten a blank lobby too. Also if you just installed the software you might want to restart your computer if you haven't already.

Try the play money Bovada tables and see how it runs on your setup. If its horrible I would play elsewhere.

There is no waiting list on Bodog is there? We just have to keep hunting, no?

Yeah, there are no waiting lists on Bodog for cash games, which I find really frustrating.

I can't believe Bovada would release and update this ****ty. It makes no sense, their software was awesome before.

Okay I read that article about Odman, even though it is old and mainly referring to the switch to anonymous tables. I'm actually fine w these changes. It seems like he's mainly concerned w fair play.

I've always been against datamining/Huds and really the people who are 24+ tabling cash or sng(esp if all at same stake) - thats not really good for the game. It seems to me this is really what hes referring to. If you limit people to 4 tables, maybe the play will be fairer, and some guy or multiple guys won't be playing .50/1 all the way up to 5/10 on 30+ tables and basically playing like a robot. The same thing can happen in SNG. That's why I always liked it on stars better when one only one table could reg at a time and you'd have to get lucky to get in! That way at least you can't register for 20+ at once. Then a lot of these guys are maybe breaking even and then making all their money off VIP or rakeback. <--thats not really how its supposed to work.

Having said all that, I'm usually playing like 10-14 tables, but spread across 4 sites and many MTTs..

Personally I think 4 tables is a low limit; If I was a pure cash or sng player, I'd want at least 6, but I think you should spread your volume across sites. I also find anonymous tables boring at times, but its a nice switch up.

Interesting article, but its not really relevant to their current update, which does seem to be running a lot better. It would be nice if they ironed everything out before they release things for once. I also still don't see any advantages to the new client.

Client was 90% normal the last hour and all of a sudden im on a 4 second delay on each click. WTF?

fast computers, slow computers, good one minute, bad the next...I don't get it...there has to be a technical explanation (and solution) for this problem that is a week ongoing now.

I like that the update fixed a lot of the delay with reloading. Sometimes when I try to open a table it gets stuck on 97% and I have to close it and open it again. Also occasionally when I click on an open seat it doesn't sit me and I have to close the table and open it up again to sit. Overall certainly not a total disaster though.

They probably have memory leaks all over the place!

I have disconnected 3 times tonight !! On each time I stayed connected on 2/4 or 3/4 after but was kicked off at least one table each time. Luckily didn't happen amid huge hand. Anybody else experiencing this much disconnects? Wtfffff

Is there anyone on the Bovada site using 'XP' or 'Vista' and getting the game sounds ?
Thank you !
01-15-2016 , 10:36 AM
I fixed it not saving any of my settings by uninstalling and reinstalling the software

Final table of the $10K last night

-Dealt KK in BB
-Visions of stacking the annoying donk in SB who keeps shoving with ATC
-Minimize the tournament lobby window for full screen view of my pending double up
-The spinning Bovada Pinwheel-O-Death appears on the client
-Freak out and force quit Bovada
-Frantically log back in and see 2/7 UTG
-Throw computer against wall and kick the dog

ugh...
