Laggiest night they have been so far. Was running "ok" the other day.

Tonight is bad
01-12-2016 , 11:13 PM
Fired up a play money table just to check it out and the bet/call/fold actions seemed fine, no real lag at all. The lobby is still super slow and I'm still not ready to put cash on their tables. Progress?

I experimented today with the google DNS's and installing with google chrome. Things seemed slightly slower for me by doing this. In my area the internet is fine I even ran tests comparing different DNS providers.
If anyone else follows Bovada's directions about changing to googles DNS make sure you don't slow down your internet. It may not be the best DNS for your area.
I changed the DNS back to default and uninstalled chrome.
Back to w3m with frame buffer support, duckduckgo and a different poker site till they fix this.

Good luck

LOL....Empire Poker back on my parents 56K modem ran smoother then this in 2004. Well done Bovada!

On a serious note, the lag wasn't too bad today, but tonight it's HORRIBLE! I'm guessing it has something to do with the amount of traffic?

any tips on how to make this run better? Or is it just the software/site?

(1.5~ yr old comp i5 8gb ram)

Crashed on me again. This time it was when I clicked the "last hand" hand number to see what my opponent had. No idea if that's what crashed it the first time or not (sorry, don't remember) but that's what caused the crash this time.

Locked up at least 15 times tonight when I tried to open another table, lobby, etc.

I'm done until they fix this...

Post back here if the steps from the other thread work for you.
Turning off game animations is another thing to try.

Win7 i'm on google dns, cleared cookies, delete/ redownload, have animations off and i'm still getting lag.

Tournament Indicator just pushed through an update that seems to have fixed the HUD issue at least...Software still seems laggy though...

Win 8. Still running fine. Since the update I've only had one table of my four freeze two different times. Other than that, everything has been smooth sailing. Just played a few hours with HI and it was fine. I don't play with animations and I'm wondering if that could be making a difference. I played a tournament and 4 tables of PLO.

All your threats to quit Bovada, cash out...never come back again, etc etc mean nothing to them. They'll take their sweet time in fixing the issues and when they do, you'll be back.

I don't want to leave bovada but if It does not work I have no choice but to play elsewhere. When they fix the issues I will for sure be back.

I don't think they are taking their time. They have really good support and are working hard to fix the problems.
It is interesting to me how it is working really well for some and horrible for others. I would like to know why.

Sameses. This is my second 4 hour session two nights in a row with no issues whatsoever. Alienware although 2 years old, but highest speed fios internet available (quantum or whatever). Also, I notice the fans/processors spin a lot more frequently when playing compared to old software suggesting the use of more resources? Not that my laptop gets hot or anything. Also, I keep 84% of my memory/C drive free (mostly a poker computer). Not a computer guy tho so no idea if matters.

Best part: I'm absolutely easily getting more hands per hour despite slightly lower traffic. I'm not playing a thinking/tanking game like plo either. this is limit so it's pretty consistently higher hands per hour every table.

Now we just need to get everyone else's fixed/working smoothly and will be awesome

lagginess seems to be improved this morning, running noticeably cleaner...but still laggy

FYI my Juicy Stakes software has crashed constantly the past few months so Bovada is not the only suck out there

Are the tournaments not starting at the correct times or is it just me?

Also, the WPN is down after 5 1/2 hours of a scheduled "4 hour" maintenance period. There are almost no choices for a U.S. player this morning unless you have a super-charged processor designed for lightning quick advanced video games/virtual reality and the like, which costs maybe 5 times the price of a normal computer. If you do have such a processor with mega-memory, then Bovada should be fine for you.

I think Bovada should just come out with an announcement and say "You need to buy a new computer, even if it costs you $2,500 or more in order to run our software the way it is supposed to run.

after six months of bs from support via them blaming me "disconnecting" every time the software crashed on my mac, i just did buy a new pc and i still cannot play on the site. fraudvada/blowvada is just sticking their middle finger up at all of us because they know that we can't do anything but continue to bitch while we continue to give them our business

I called last week when I first got the update, and They said they were working on it. Its literally not playable conditions at all. So, I have not been playing.. Fast forward 1 week to today, and the Lag has not changed. I called them today for an update, they told me other issues have been fixed, however the slowness is still being looked into... I am not on a MAC, just a regular PC Laptop. Its the software.. So, Im just not gonna play until its fixed. The lady on the phone seemed like she really did not care about my complaints at all.
