Played my regular morning session and software ran great. It's taking longer to load from lobby and I see traffic is down a bit but I must admit the new software seems pretty good to me.

They just told me that they did their last update yesterday or this morning (I can't remember which) and they aren't planning on doing anymore so if it is slow now on your computer it will always be slow. They mentioned the increased drain on resources with this new version. The only solution is to buy a high end computer. My computer is new but admittingly slow (4GB RAM), but I have seen people in here with 8GB RAM that are having problems as well. I don't know what I am going to do now because play now is nearly unbearable, but in the event I buy a new computer I would like to know the processor, RAM, video card or other specs that are necessary for this new Bovada software to work right. A $2,000+ computer seems to be the only solution unfortunately. Can the people in here who are having no problems please give out their specs?

I def wouldn't say I've had no problems, and I've only played maybe 75 hands since the update, but it seems I've had way less problems than others. My experience has been mostly quick with the occasional slowness and no disconnects during a hand yet. I bought my desktop in 2010. I don't remember the specs but that's probably saying enough right? It seems like their check payments. If youre lucky it can take a week, but you could be next door to that person and have it still take a month.

I haven't had issues with lagging, bugs, etc. at all except on the first day it was released. The past 3-4 days the client has been quite snappy (both in gameplay and navigating the lobby).

I've just got a modest $500 HP laptop (6GB RAM, Core i5-5200u) running windows 10. I also run table tamer and occasionally browse the web with chrome while playing with no issues.

I'm still hating this client though because of the eyesore that is the user interface. I still can't believe the font they used for the bet amounts, player timer, action buttons and bet box. So far it doesn't seem like they have even acknowledged this as an issue. Sucks to hear that they aren't planning on doing anything else from here on out. What a kick in the nuts to us players.

Runs fast on my Dads. AMD phenom 2 , 3 ghz processor with 8 gigs of Ram.
This computer runs windows 7
Something like this is probably pretty cheap today.
Runs horrible on all my windows 10 tablets.
Runs slightly laggy on a windows 10 zenbook.

On one of the tablets I can play 4 tables on carbon and run HM2. It will not run one zone table on Bovada. The tablet has 2gigs of ram.
It is kinda strange though cause my Dads computer is old and Bovada runs fast on it. Maybe it likes windows 7?
I don't know.

My Computer is over 8 years old and the last 2 days Bovada is running pretty good. This past weekend was completely unplayable. I did the complete uninstall reinstall through Chrome thing and at the time it had zero effect. Then yesterday i got on and it seemed almost back to normal. The font still sucked and it hung up a couple times but for the most part good. Today was almost perfect only got glitchy 1 time in about two hours play.
Running Windows 10 64 bit. AMD x2 64 5600. 4gb ram. 512mb nvidia graphics. Ssd hard drive. 10Mbps internet connection .

i am running on macbook pro retina yosemite and the client has always run pretty poorly but the new update looks even worse and misclicks, doesnt respond, crashes frequently, sucks.

I wil post this here too.. Bovada doesn't seem to want to do anything so....

Withdrew all funds from Bovada >>> Deposited on WPN. Will not be returning.

You lost a grinder of 10-14 hours/day at mid stakes, Bovada. Listen to your customers.

I actually suggested this because it helps with issues all over the internet.. I used this trick for Twitch having issues.. Had no idea that they suggested using it..

I think, as some sort of compensation, Bovada should offer a freeroll for all players - no ticket needed.

Great! Forget that guy who says bovada doesn't care. They definitely do. It affects their bottom line. If Ford did something terrible with their aluminum body trucks and everyone goes to Chevy, they will bring back steel trucks.

Customers delegate their wants/needs to businesses. It's not the other way around. How do you like WPN btw

You couldn't be anymore wrong about bovada. If they do care, they actually want these kind of people OUT not in. Not all customers are the same, they don't want customers that are constantly withdrawing money out, they want customers (recreational players) that will do sportsbetting and play their casinos along with poker and eventually lose all money to them. If you haven't noticed, this is the current trend of this whole poker industry driving regs out and inviting recs in.

You have to put in work for your Winrate to go up. Don't rely on good players leaving to make you more money, because there is plenty of new players coming over from PS in the beginning of 2016.

Bovada is doing nothing but denying and saying they are done updating.

WPN is not that bad, plenty of fish, just have to know how they are fish https://gyazo.com/a63c95ee1ea03c50d9a61c269d843be9

Lmao. Wow. Live poker it is then.

Here's a plot twist: Someone from WPN or BOL heard bovada is updating their software. They got in touch with the developers and paid them x amount to screw over bovada.

If you try to resize it or do anything at all to it before it loads it always gets stuck at 97

this is the first day since the update that ive experienced horrible lag. its pretty much unplayable.
01-13-2016 , 11:06 PM
OK, so have done some testing, and I am pretty sure the lag we are experiencing has to do with resource usage on your PC. I have a pretty good laptop, 6 gigs of RAM, decent processor, running Win8. Not great, but not a crapbox either. The lag is pretty annoying on that laptop; it's playable if I turn off animations, and don't have anything else that's resource-heavy running - it always delays when clicking most every button on the game interface, loading tables, etc.

I have a computer in my music studio with 32 gigs of ram, i7 processor, two big graphics cards, etc., and on that computer, the software runs like a dream. Zero lag, smooth graphics, just a couple of resizing glitches with the tables sometimes, but nothing you can't fix my manually nudging the window size a pixel or two, then retiling. So, basically, whoever wrote the update prolly tested it on their baller development machines, but not on typical user machines.

Good news: If you spend 4k on your PC, you should be good to go. Bad news: The architecture seems so poor that I'd be shocked if they CAN fix it without a full rewrite, so they probably won't.

Sucks, because I am sure a lot of people (particularly non-dedicated recreational players) will just get frustrated and move to another site, as many of you guys have said you're doing.

If they were trying to weed out regs and attract recs, they're doing it exactly wrong.
