I heard they were closed down before they ever opened. And no, you can't have my monies!

It could be time for the Real Deal people to try to re-enter the market. They steered clear of US players because they believed it wasn't legally sound to accept them at the time.

With PokerStars, Fool Tilt and Absolute now out of the picture in the US, the way is clear for people who have played by the rules to step in.

I don't know if Real Deal has gone belly up permanently or if it's just in a 'dormant' state. If it can be re-started with the right level of funding and industry know-how it could make a go of it this time round.

I know it got slated by the gormless shills in here in its first incarnation, but it might have possibilties in the future - if the bosses can learn from the mistakes of the past.

Apparently ppnpoker.eu which left the cake network bought realdealpoker.com and are revamping it got the info from a leak so don't know how true this is but we will see.

Funny, seems strange that several new rooms are popping up now in the last few weeks....hope if this is true, PPN will stay in Isle of Man, as Real Deal was. With the flamming the site got, all the players got paid. Affilates, well another story.
Given that most of the software was Everleafs..... how advantageous would it be to buy REAL DEAL? I mean not sure if it was its own network.

well i guess we'll find out this w/end or this week it was supposed to be up and running in the middle of sept. so we'll see. Apparently it seems PPN will be it's own network meaning other sites will join them but again we'll see.

Someone paid money to buy Real Deal Poker? There really is a sucker born every minute. The thing I didn't expect was there was a bigger sucker than that guy who made all the Real Deal videos. "You see it's real simple...<insert BS here>"

Well maybe the original platform wasn't good but I'll see what upgrades they do and "if" I like it then i'll try it otherwise i'll just withdraw i'm doing so good on bodog that i'll just stay there.

Huh i'm starting to believe that all that bull**** they were telling online pokernews sites was a cover on August 26th. I've 200.00 dollars on there and I to want my money back this possibly looks like another poker scam!!!!

When I registered for this site, I created a unique email address for my account there, and I've just received my first email to it in 2-and-a-bit years - spam for some site called 'gamblem--x'.

Ironic that they would sell their customer database to spammers in this fashion.

MGT Capital, owners of daily fantasy sports site FanThrowdown.com have purchased Real Deal Poker.

The Company intends to exhibit the system at the G2E convention in Las Vegas from September 23 - 26.

Well I guess I seem like a shill for this now, given my timing in bringing this topic up somewhat in the "rigged" poker collaboration thread, lol.

Seriously though, interested to see how this all shakes out and how it effects online poker.
