No...it doesn't say much that the majority of the DoN population hasn't moved to Fifty50s in the span of like 3 days, while DoNs are still going. Seriously, you guys are really, really grasping at straws with a lot of your comments.

Comments like this are not rational or becoming of thinking poker players. You guys are scorned lovers. That is all.

Isn't this what the CAP cash games are for?

Why do you people complain? Just move your business to other poker rooms, with more fishes. You won't even have to go for Supernovas and etc. You will get rakeback.

I wonder if Stars is having 2nd thoughts on this, maybe the comments in this thread have helped them realize that a ton of regs will drastically reduce volume on the site or leave altogether, maybe they aren't getting the volume in F50s that they had hoped, especially after posting the Feb. 15th notice.

Who knows? It's a guessing game at this point, but at least there appears to be a slight sliver of hope and we get 2 more weeks to grind.

P.S. Please contact me if you need more opinions on DoNs, sounds like you've contacted a couple people from this thread already and I'd be glad to offer my input as I'm a SNE who got their primarily from DoNs and have probably played more $52+ DoNs than almost anyone. Shoot me an e-mail if you don't have my # on file.

heres what stars should do....make the DoN rake the same as they did the 50/50 rake...take that extra money and put it towards paying people to investigate collusion and any payouts because of collusion.

I think the way to stop collusion is to do weekly audits.

they should investigate the top 100 winners at every level $10 and up.

They should investigate any players who play 150 sit n gos a week together.

They should force players who have won money playing DoN sit n gos to wait for their account to clear the audit system to cashout or transfer those winnings.

I know this sounds like a lot of BS but players who like DoNs wouldnt mind waiting a few days to cashout if it helps protect the games and keep them running.

I wonder if the deadline extension for the removal of DONs was in order to let rs03rs03 reach his million game milestone?

I would be more than happy with this. I presume the vast majority of DON players would as well.

The date for removal of DoNs has been moved to February 28th to allow players more time to adjust to the change.

The decision to remove Double or Nothings is not being reconsidered. They will be removed on February 28th. The removal is currently scheduled for 23:59 Eastern time on that date.

WOW what a joke, since the announcement i gave up playing dons on stars, moved 1/3 of my roll to other network and they extend it ? i started my transition to cashgames on stars, since 9mans have to big variance with current rake.
WTF is up with those jokers, that was like 3 extra weeks of playing

DON are a game of poker just like all other games. They have many varied tactics that include P/Fold, stalling(just like in MTT bubbles), stealing, restealing, min raising 3 betting and all the rest. Bottom line is Stars paid out over 2 million in refunds! You do not remove a popular game except for one reason... $$$$$

Why would anyone want to play 9 man 50/30/20 when 6 max sng are far more profitable? A 6 max is far closer to a DON than any other SNG. I am sure you can figure out the math.

Someone should have made a FBook page and called for a week long boycott of all
50/50's on stars.

Steve who really cares what your TEAM ONLINE players think? Last time I noticed when I was 24 tabling $10 DON's i have yet to see a single Team Online player in over 17,000 games played. Haven't seen one in a 50/50 lobby either.

You guys have seriously dropped the ball here.

The guy who mentioned a DON with a KOut format might be onto something.

Watch FTILT come out with a DON RUSH format!

Hello Timothy,

Thank you for your email. Your email was escalated to me as a member of the PokerStars Game Security Team.

PokerStars understands that the removal of a favourite type of game can have a significant impact on players who have made yearlong plans to achieve certain VIP Program rewards. For this reason, every effort is made to make major changes as close as possible to the start of the year.

Unfortunately this decision was not ready for release on January 1st. While early February is not quite as perfect of a time to announce these changes as January 1st, it is still quite close to the start of the year. There is still plenty of time to choose a new game to plan and achieve your same goals, or to alter your goals appropriately.

Many players who have played the Double or Nothings previously are planning to achieve the same yearly VPP goals through playing the new Fifty50s.

Thank you for playing at PokerStars. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions or concerns.

Regards,

Michael J

Perhaps the thread title should be updated as it still says: "Effective February 15th".

Can any former DON grinders confirm that they expect to achieve the same number of VPPs in 2011 as they did in 2010 after moving to fifty50s?
