Kind of changed my opinion on Robl, thought he came across really bad on other interviews but seems to be cool from what I've seen on this show. The new hair cut was a great move though, as I'm sure he realises himself when comparing it to his do in the HSL video or whatever.

Entertaining start to the week anyway. Have to laugh at all the people voting for Chan to win it, wonder how much this is affected by the fact that Gavin Smith gave away a lot in his last interview which was then much talked about here...

Yesterdays episode, when Dwan turned over the 3, Robl got this look on his face that caused me to absolutely die of laughter... Is there any way you can make an animated GIF that shows Dwan turning over the 3 and immediately it cuts to Robl with that look on his face?

Dear god, pretty please?

DUUDDEEE!!

Then Dwan remembers that they were on TV lol

I think I would easily pick the Vets in this type of SNG format. The Nets just don't have that experience playing shortstack poker in a tournament format like this.

If it was like deep stack cash game like last week, I would expect them to come up on top. Especially in a shorthanded game

They do come across as a little immature, desperately trying to impress each other.

Chan has donked Huck in two of these already. Hopefully the favor is returned.

Yea, you can really tell guys like Chan and Phil are seasoned live pros because they're so classy at the table and aren't annoying at all. The internet guys could learn a thing or two from them. Or when Huck Seed wouldn't stop talking to Durr while Durr was in the middle of a hand trying to make a decision. Or on HSP when Aba had to shush Gold because he wouldn't shut up during a hand.

Oh wait.

God forbid friends talk about poker hands while they're playing poker though. Whatever is the world coming to.

And I find it amusing that you say they don't play live that often since in my experience live players are among the worst at never shutting up, except their table talk usually consists of some sort of whining, as opposed to actually trying to analyze someones line in a hand.

wow, lots of haters here. Andrew looks great and Tom is entertaining. Doyle is hilarious as usual and Chan is a jerk. And LOL at the nets not knowing how to play a 6-handed sng. Riiiight.

Well, I have taken to talking as much as Phil Laak to give the illusion of more action than I actually give, except I usually talk about sports or music. I do, however, shut up when the players next to me have decisions (but I keep talking if the hand is being played by players on the opposite end of the table).

Cool idea for a "'Nets vs. Vets" theme. Along those lines, which live veterans have been the most outspoken against the young Internet whippersnappers? (Matusow comes to mind, but he's outspoken about EVERYTHING.) Likewise, which online pros have been the most openly critical about the old brick-and-mortar guard nearing obsolecense?

'Cause I'd be quite amused to see a table consisting of the three most vociferous players on each side of this fence, finally settling this debate -- or adding further fire to it.

Really? I would have guessed the opposite.

Sure, the Vets probably have more actual years of playing tournament poker -- in fact, Johnny Chan's boxers are probably older than Durrr -- but I don't know if they necessarily have more experience in this format. In fact, I hypothesize that the online guys a) have played far more STTs, b) played more 6-max NLHE and c) have a much better grasp on shortstack and push/fold decisions in SNG play.

As always, I could be way off here. I'm curious to hear more opinions about this.

Which players do you think have the most experience in winner-take-all tournaments?

OK I AM GOING TO SOUND LIKE COMPLETE DONK...BUT BECAUSE NOONE HAS SAID IT YET, I AM GOING TO SAY IT ANYWAY.......

I KNOW WE HAVE BENEFIT OF HOLE CARD CAMERAS...BUT IF DWAN SHOWS A THREE, ISN'T THERE LIKE A GREATER THAN 75% CHANCE THAT DWAN HAD A SET AFTER THREE LARGE BETS on F, R & T....WHY WOULD ROBL REACT LIKE THAT? OF COURSE, DWAN IS CAPABLE OF BLUFFING THERE WITH 4-3 SUITED TYPE OF HAND, BUT I WOULD HAZARD THAT EXPERIENCED LIVE PLAYERS LIKE HUCK, CHAN AND DOYLE WERE PRETTY SURE THAT WAS THREE THREES.....

ALSO, IF YOU ARE GOING TO SHOW A ONE-CARD BLUFF, IT IS UNLIKELY THAT YOU WOULD SHOW CARD THAT PAIRED BOARD (WHY ELSE WOULD DWAN GIVE ROBL A CHOICE OF CARDS THEN?????)

No, I think you're pretty on point, the exception being for Huck Seed, who has played alot of SNGs online ( HuckleberrySeed on FTP) and has done pretty well in them so I'm sure he's good when it comes to shortstack push/fold play.
