I feel calmer now thanks.

But I want to know if FTP pros can play

I love Dennis Phillips! He's the nicest guy ever, always friendly to everyone and super relaxt to all the press. He played for days straight in Monte Carlo this year and then entered the media tournament and played serious and bought everyone drinks, same in London by the way.

In London he was busted but went to the Vic game like every free moment. Once I ran into him and he played for 16 hours straight or something like that. He won 24.000 pound he told us but since I was drunk myself I could be mistaking on the amount. Alot, that was for sure.

I got nothing against Dennis Phillips.
he is a good dude and I hope he manages to win a little.

I just don't want to see HSP to be full of PS donkament pros.

Dennis Phillips is an idiot. I suspected this to be the case when he flew out 678 people to watch him at the ME. A HSP appearance confirms it.

Egomanical tard.

He might not be optimal pick, but at this point, any1 besides russo is a solid pick.
You know what? DN would be a great commentator on the show. If he co-hosts and if PS brings in Elky and Lodden I think the show has potential.

One thing is for sure.

If it is full of PS pros, it wil be a smaller game.
Only the FTP pros are sick enough to play a 500k buy in.

Dario played well on HSP? Lolzzz

If there is any truth to this story we might be witnessing the death of HSP.

Also, I have nothing personal against Phillips, he seems like a nice enough guy, but if he plays on HSP I want him to see him broken, and broken quickly.

Its funny how everyone is assuming it will be all PS players and saying how Phillips will get crushed because he didn't make is name from playing online. He's obviously better than most ppl here seem to think since he made it deep 2yrs in a row and all this he's running like god ****. Why because they showed 10 hands of his 100,000 hands he played all week? How many years in a row will he have to go deep to gain respect from 2p2?

Look at how all these great online players did on previous HSP shows with the exception of Durrr who luck boxed 1000 hands as well. Most just didn't do very well at all.

They need to have Durrr and Farha on the next season that we will see real fireworks. Until then....well see.

All so by DN's post I am going to guess Jennifer Harmon for Co-host.

Him on the show is a waste of space, but they love wasting space on that show: Chris "Jesus", Jerry Buss, Bob Stupak, etc

This show is getting worse and worse.
The end of season 4 was the best with really great players who gave so much action (with 500k deep stacks!). What is this show coming to - firing AJB, and getting guys like Lederer and Phillips on here. Eastgate played ok but tight, and joe hachem was surprisingly good in season 5, but it looks like they're both too tight because they're bankrolls aren't the biggest.

Right so everyone who isn't a lag or a gambler is a waste of space.

Gawd no! No PLO! That would kill the show and it would be cancelled after one episode.

lol at someone worshipping at the altar of viffer calling someone egomanical. I'm a viffer fan for the most part, but in an ego contest between him and Dennis it isn't even close.

I would suspect that DP isn't going on HSP cause he thinks he's the best player, but more to have a good time.

I've been lucky enough to meet Dennis a couple times and talk to him on the phone and he is one of the nicest guys you will ever come across.

I read every post on here before i posted everyone seems to dislike someone like him coming on, why? His a nice guy he has nothing to prove, have you thought about if he did go on to play it was to learn what better players do that he doesn't ? He def isn't going to play to entertain you nvg ******s.

This thread has far more than the usual amount of tardin' it up by people that have no clue what they are talking about.

Dennis is a completely different animal when he is playing cash than when he plays tournaments. I know this based on playing with him many many times live and sweating him playing tournaments before he was famous. He is not the best cash player in the world for sure, but he is a definitely a very sound player, mixes it up and is far from a cookie-cutter nit. If you think he is a ****** that you can just slap around playing cash, you will get violated in a deeply painful and personal way. Not only will you be a favorite to lose some chips, but a bit of your ego as well. This based on what what must be many thousands of hands playing with him before he became famous, and I am confident... even based on what I saw in a single session since, that he has improved a great deal in these last years.

Scotty Clark was completely right in every point. Dennis is a guy with pretty much no ego whatsoever, is completely self-effacing and is always far more concerned with the other person in the conversation than himself (even in extraordinary circumstances). He once talked to me for several minutes on the phone (about me largely) only to tell me after what was to me a comically long time that he was at the Cards game that he was invited to throw out the first pitch and sit on the front row...and I am not THAT close a friend of his at all. I told him he should not have even answered the phone of course, but that is the kind of guy he is. If you know him at all, you know the reason he invited and payed the airfare for so many friends to go to Vegas was out of altruism not ego. He is truly a superlative human being and a more than seviceable poker player. I am not saying I would cross-book him with Ivey or Durr or anything, but underestimate him at your own risk. And I know there are a lot fewer people that would think I am an ******* if I acted more like him.
