He probably won't win too much or lose too much. Waste of HSP space imo, put in an action fish like Jamie Gold.

That being said, all of the top cash players play on FT and one of the cool things about HSP is that there is no sponsorship needed....ie the players don't get all decked out in Pokerstars gear from head to toe.

No Durrrr + no Sammy + no FT pros = generic poker show.

I'll be very surprised if Pokerstars sponsorship doesn't send this, my favorite poker show, right down the tubes.

AJ Benza didn't add much to the show but Vanessa Rousso is absolutely horrible.

A Stars sponsored HSP will just turn that show into a glorified infomercial.

I'm surprisingly sad about this news. HSP has always been the greatest, and they're just f ing with the formula left and right.

FT sponsors PAD and people like Hellmuth and Doyle still are on, right? So maybe it won't be a total banning of FT pros.

Let's not forget it was Pokerstars who pulled their players from PAD, not Full Tilt banning them. So there's no way Stars will ban the FT pros, it will only be if Tilt pulls them out, which I highly doubt will be the case.

Dennis Phillips is widely popular among the "average" WSOP viewers. Remember that the average WSOP viewer is a 50 year old male.

So I guess Negreanu's streak of not missing a season of HSP is continuing. He's become a bit of a fish of the lineups but he's still entertaining imo, good to have him there. Should they ban the FTP crew, well... the show's appeal and credibility will plummet. Good that not all nosebleed players are signed to a pokersite yet, hopefully they get some exciting young guns there.

From Pokerstars' stall one name who comes to mind in particular is Johnny Lodden. He was phenomenal in some British poker show (don't remember the name and not even if it was cash or tourney) and is probably as good for tv as anyone. And of course everyone remembers that he was one of the first online superheroes. Oh and obv "Lodden thinks" would be much cooler with the man himself on the board.

I guess Elky is mainly a donkament guy but I think he'd be a nice addition to the lineup as well. Dario already made an appearance last season and did well, I'd welcome him back np. Also someone like nutsinho or deldar would be cool to see there. These PS nosebleed regs seem so much less known than those who play at FT (I know, deldar = pokerbluffs, though etc.).

I was thinking of PS possible staking some of their own sponsored players into the show but come to think of it, eg. Lodden getting a stake against virtually any imaginable HSP lineup would be like the easiest thing ever.

However, the best thing that PS could possible do would be to finally introduce PLO to HSP. Who'd be left from the PS crew, though... Negreanu and...? But should they have PLO, cue Ziigmund!

Honestly, if the lineup does not have big action names like durrrr, PA, elezra, ivey, farha, ziggy, and is filled w/ PS tourny donks, I will prolly not watch it.

Starz has who? DN, BG, Dario, and Eastgate? No offense, but Dario is the only interesting guy out of the Stars lineup... DN is okey.... BG is about as boring as Eastgate.

He won't be able to go crazy everytime his folded cards hit the flop because the hands won't be all in so frequently.

He would probably say really annoying bs every time he opens his mouth.

It's always interesting to see how good tournament players do in cash games. Sometimes they surprise you, sometimes not....and NOBODY could be worse than Jamie Gold on HSP with his "I wanna be the best bluffer..." blah blah blah.

I'm more concerned with the new hosting format...bad idea. If it's not broke, don't fix it!

I wanna see Phillips get ripped apart if he is invited. This guy plays a tournament style that is far away from any profitable cash game style. Seriously, Dennis is a player that makes friends with people in tournaments, and shares information to be "friendly", he wouldn't last more than a few hands without check/folding everything.

As for the line up : why not Fullflush proposed himself in the line up with Durrrr ? would be the perfect occasion to busto Dwan before 2010 as his he predicted. And don't forget mister Schwartz : the buffet is for free there, grab a seat.

Daniel Negreanu said that the new addition would be someone everyone likes. Also, Gabe Kaplan's going solo on the commentary.

I'd gladly sacrifice a good TV show if it brings more fish to the tables.
