Today on the Poker Life podcast my guest is poker world legend and poker content visionary Steve Lipscomb. Steve founded the World Poker Tour back in 2002 and helped to kick start the initial poker world boom. I am very excited to hear stories from those days and find out how the hell one can create something spectacular like the World Poker Tour. Did Steve consider buying the World Series of Poker?? Does he have any Phil Ivey stories?? We will find out now.

I know theres been talk about it before but think getting jdawg on the pod after he gets the SNE equivalent on party would be solid. Guy is streaming his whole sne grind on twitch this year. And obv any of the scandi plo guys esp jeans after his sick showing in the party plo series while going to grad school or whatever it is on the side.

An interview with one of the people who developed either PIO or simplepostflop could be really interesting.

Keep it up Joey, your efforts in improving your videos are showing with the production quality and how you interview/mannerisms. I enjoy watching em and your very logical with your break downs, always appreciated.

I'm a big fan of what tournament poker edge is producing so anyone from TPE honestly. I think Daryl Jace could be a good interview. Killingbird founded it and probably would go on and plug even though hes more a rec player it seems. I was coached a bit by Dylan Thomassie. I don't know much about him but he seems to be a young player in the game (think he lives in vegas) so I feel he could be a good get. I find people that had earlier success during tilt/starz days interesting especially if they are still in the game as they are probably decent players.

I also find people that put the grind in online more interesting. I find someone that might grind an ABI of say $20-150 online a lot more interesting than someone that is playing $1ks and above live (and only live or maybe a small sample online). Robert Kuhn (Acr sponsored pro that depaulo mentioned) might be a good interview. I've seen him play on his twitch stream and have played against him on acr and he plays a really laggy (interesting) game with some solid live/online results. Feel he would be interesting as he also just won an online WSOP event.

others i would find interesting;

Kristy Bicknell- she seems like a really solid player and fact she is a female makes her story cool. Maybe a podcast with her and Foxen would work or just her alone. I felt your pod with Alex Foxen was really solid and he was interesting so i assume she would be a good guest.

Tom Dwan would be interesting to hear from but i'm sure he would be difficult to get on for a pod.

Some northeast grinders I think would be interesting I see killing live mtts in the northeast are people like Victor Ramdin, Vinny Pahuja, Asher Coniff, Zack Gruneberg, etc.

Joey, I just relistened to Postle Investigation 4 while I was doing dishes and forgot how damning that **** could be! That shot with the phone and the keys is wild and honestly should be revisited.

I really think if you followed Joe Rogan's strategy with his pod clips, you'd have a lot of success. Pick out really interesting talking points with high profile pods you've done, slap a juicy title on it and now you double dip on the rev from the orginal pod

Having Kristen Bicknell on the show today 2pm EST. Kristen is one of the top tournament players in the poker world and one of the hardest grinders that I know. Kristen is currently a member of team Partypoker. I've known of Kristen for a very long time now as she was also a former Supernova Elite on Pokerstars years ago. Supernova Elite was a status the very top grinders on the platform earned by playing millions of hands of poker. Kristen transitioned from cash games to tournaments years ago and has been near the top of the leader boards since then. Very excited to FINALLY have her on my show!
