Fedor does indeed have a different demeanour to earlier podcasts, but I wouldn't worry about him, he will be fine. He just looks like a guy who has come to the end of a relationship and realises "I'm actually really done with this." He is probably in a transition period right now but will continue to go forward in life once the dust has settled.

Sorel is cool. He is intelligent but kind of naive too and just seems like a really young 30 year old. Like a kid who just left home and went to University and is still buzzing from that first acid trip he took 2 weeks ago. Obviously this isn't the case, but it is how he sometimes comes across. I know he semi retracted it, but that ginger treats cancer better than chemo stuff was lol. All those people who have given their life savings to go through the hell of chemo could just have taken ginger if they weren't so brainwashed. Such a pity they didn't know. I'm as anti pharmaceutical as anyone, but come on bro!

Not sure if this is the right forum to post but i think it was Terence chan who put WSOP Vegas tournaments into perspective on the 2 plus 2 recent podcast where he says they are nearly impossible to win. You have to run exceptionally well and play almost perfect poker with some luck also . I think that can be said for the smaller buy in's in your local casino as well. He also mentioned something about how cash games are boring and 2hrs at table is enough for him. I agree as well. He did not mention if they were $1 $2 (which i doubt he plays) $2 $5 or 5 10 and up.

Just finished watching the Sorel podcast.

Was quite frustrating when he was calling people to picket outside casinos as the real criminals were the corrupt politicians that banned online poker. Their actions do not lessen yours.

The world isnt black and white and whilst the guy acted like a scum bag at least the he is trying to good now. I personally liked the change of topics and its refreshing to hear different points of view.

Joey is really good at grilling people, he hit a good balance of asking everything that needed to be asked but without overwhelming Sorel or making him feel too uncomfortable.

Lol WP. Drugs, brothels, and morning shifts at Applebee's obviously.

Re : "When people used to battle HU till they were broke". It really was like that from 100 NL and up. Having - / + 20 BI swings in 24 hours HU was pretty much standard. That might be pushing it a bit but +/ - 10 BI swings daily were just part of how the game played and it was simply because people had more money - In conjunction with valuing it less because* they had more money.

There was basically never ending action as well - So taking a -10-20 BI hit was really no thang' because you knew with confidence that you could grind that back up relatively quickly (or really quickly). It makes perfect sense that regs stoploss @ 3 BI nowadays - Because there simply is not enough good action to get unstuck as quickly and it affects your mindset / $ situation differently than when games were healthy.

To me HU is meant to be swingy. The little decent-ggood action you can find rarely resembles what it did in say 2010 - And the ultimate truth is that is HU began dying before BF in 2010. I do think if certain things change in the next few years we could see it back to the way it was in 2010 tho...But not 2005.

God I miss 2005-2010 HU. Just as a game.
