if you followed her on twitter you would see that she probably meant what she was saying by that statement. Probably smashed out ~100 tweets+ a day about how wrong trump supporters are and how they are ruining the world. I am 100% not a trump supporter and despise the guy but the spamming twitter spiraling out emotionally is not the route I personally take

also I heard our friend reckful lost most of the 45k he won yesterday, today on stream can anyone confirm?

Dude, you've got to give the Hellmuth thing a rest.

1- I was right there when it happened, and while I can see it having a bruised ego effect, I think you took the whole thing out of context. It wasn't nearly as bad a situation as you made it out to be in your head.

It's interesting because it seems like you've done a pretty decent job of shrugging things off moving forward, but that one really got to you, and I feel like had you brought it up at a better time ( not on break of a tournament where everybody values their 15 minutes in their own way ) it probably plays out way differently. I went off on Phil last summer for being a prick so this is coming from a purely objective perspective.

2- You actually *did* do the exact same thing you accuse Phil of doing to you to me ( big timing ), somebody you're friends(?)/friendly with. Maybe you weren't aware of how it came off at the time, but I'm standing there like "what the f*ck??". Every time I hear you talking about Hellmuth it reminds of that, and I just find it to be very ironic.

In any case, i enjoy the content and what you're doing. Keep it up.

leave the guy alone, he needs to clean the money somehow, and poker is prob one of the easiest/most fun ways to do it, he's not particularly talented or motivated to try legitimize it with his business prowess or w/e so why not do it with something something that's practically zero effort and that nobody can realistically scrutinize/disprove.

i saw the podcast and even before seeing it obv knew he was a massive fish, who cares.

dont know what surprises me more - the fact that doug and joey didnt interview the yayo guy or that they both seem to be unable to understand why people expected them to do so.

I'm over what happened, the only time I ever might mention it is when PH gets brought up on the podcast. I thought it was more funny/ridiculous than having any sort of bruised ego effect. Our mutual friend told me that PH was a really nice guy and I should have him on my podcast/talk to him about it when I saw him. The other people I was with that day said a similar thing about what happened.

I'm sorry the second part happened. I let Phil know that it happened immediately after and he let me know he was in his zone.

It equally surprises me why people seem to be unable to understand why I didn't want to do so.

Maybe their surprise > my own surprise

i dont know what exactly was said nor what level of histrionics was invoked, but if you aren't terrified of the fallout from a "president trump", then you are either a colossal idiot, a terrible human being, or both. there's literally no middle ground.

this is not a statement to be debated, so expect no further comments/replies from me about it

I enjoy talking to Cate and think she gives me an interesting perspective that I would never otherwise get. I think her story going from law school -> lawyer -> poker world is unusual and I like to keep up with it. I wish more people that I've talked to who enjoy the podcasts with her on would post as well

I think you should encourage people to help you out with time stamps, like there are probably a lot of big fans that could help you out with that. Personally I find some of these discussions unbearable..

A lot of the hate towards Cate Hall is probably because she insists on talking so much politics and she have so many hardcore opinions. She is interesting, but like hearing her opinions in every podcast and seeing her spamming twitter reminded me how annoying it is to watch a podcast without time stamps. I think it would improve your podcast a lot.

Also just noticed you got time stamps on the new WCG pod, your comment about people crying is a bit uncalled for. I dont really read comments on youtube, but I sincerely believe most people (like me) just want you to improve your podcast. But I could be wrong. You dont have to be so defensive.

Limitless podcast was very good! Wp

I've enjoyed most podcasts including cate's, but she just comes off kinda polarized to me, although her story is pretty sick going from making 0.5 mega in lawyer to poker player etc. Gotta respect that decision.

I think she is kind of narrowminded in some ways the, pc-stuff, a bit of politics etc, but lets leave it at that. Like the depression about results of elections etc also just sounds so bizarre to me, but maybe others are more intense about this kind of stuff.

What rubbed me very wrong way as a online NL cash player from the first podcast is how she came off as very cocky, bashing other live players as being terrible (which they most likely are), and being like she is super good, when in reality I just don't think he would stand a chance in any reasonable stakes at online. Obviously my opinion is very biased, because she most likely is making more money than I'am, while most likely being a lot worse. I just find it funny and tilting at the same time when, especially live players talk **** about other players.

Regarding Doug's comment on yayogate where he said ""This story could have been told without some of the aspects that make it so endearing..."

I honestly feel like Marc was playing the gambit here of getting everything out in the open, so that the darker facts of the story couldn't be used against him, or as a leverage point for not paying out.

Joey, I have had awful experiences dealing with Phil too. I don't know the details of your encounters with him, but they sound similar to mine.

I think he's just the sort of person that is nice only to people he deems important, like the date that seems really sweet until you see her interact with cashiers and waiters.

yea , he has mentioned it in like 45% of podcasts & 100% of podcasts that mention PH

tldr is ph was shooting baskets and joey went up to introduce himself and ph ignored him or something like that then joey asked him later and he said he was in the zone

also side note your durr looking lost avatar is very suitable since it feels like every time any bit of news is brought up you post asking for the cliffs on what it is

Cate's politics and opinions are pretty middle of the road educated female democrat and unless you live in a red state or your social circle consists of poker players, video gamers, bros and trumkins her views are pretty standard. I think it's great Joey has her on regularly, not just because it exposes people to what women in the real world are like, but because I don't really care about another sick online grinder whose story is pretty interchangeable with a couple dozen other guests.

I also have no idea what the PH beef is about.
