I've certainly seem some crazy things happen at the Venetian (remember lasted year when that knocked over like 4 peoples chip stacks and shoved them all together?) and some bad floor rulings...but this could be the worst, if true

I dunno, after reading the link I don't think it's that big of a deal. Dealing with drunk A-holes is, sadly, a part of poker. I've been told worse in poker rooms and had management do nothing.

It sounds like the staff could have been quicker to quiet the guy down, but in the end they did quiet him down and he apologized. If his chips never came off the table and he was being blinded off during his time-out, then the result seems adequate to me.

Story reminds me of one time on the money bubble of a $550 VDSE we had this drunk old fogey berating people and taking forever to put in his ante and just being a real dick. Players and even the dealer called the floor on him. The dude had the dealer visibly tilted, was pretty epic.

Guess what I'm tryin' to say is the Venetian should use a little less Jamison and a little more water when I order a Jamison & Water. But thanks for the FREE GRATIS drinks tho

Small note - The close parking lot at the convention center has almost completely been converted to handicap parking. Lucklily it's not hot right now, but it means longer and hotter walks for people driving to the WSOP.

Also, 0 for 3 in satties so far, AJ < 66, KK < Q9, can't remember the other one.

dealers are pretty incompetent at the venetian so watch out. dont just let them count the chips out for all ins and assume they are correct, make sure yourself.

so i check in to the palms today, super excited. got a pretty good deal on 14 nights here from a promotion i saw on 2p2. so i get up turn on my 3g verizon hotspot and every light is green but the wifi button. its not red its just not lighting up. the front desk tells me they somehow blocked 3g devices. wtf, they want you to spend $15/per day/per device. my att 3g iphone works and my fiancees sprint 3g works on her evo.

so i go to dinner bring my hotspot with me to see if its broken or something get full signal outside never turn it off bring it upstairs and now its working.

i thought maybe it was just verizon was down or the signal was bad but there are 4 lights on it and they were all green and fully functional except the wifi enabling button.

i know that was long but damn i was pretty tilted.

another tilting thing about this hotel is that they charge either $50 total to clear your mini fridge or $30/day to have a spare mini fridge. not sure if this is standard but what a load of crap.

on a good note my fiancee and i are up about 1000 playing blackjack betting 15 a hand. and we just were talking to drake in the casino.
