Went to the Rio today. SO EXCITED. Everything seems to be where it was last year. The registration and payout rooms were the only ones open but I snuck into the Amazon room(Day 2/TV room) even though I think I wasn't supposed to. A janitor thought I was a tech guy or something and let me in.

There were the standard featured table + secondary attached to it and a 3rd table in the corner with just a monitor over it on a stage. (I believe there were 4 last year though)

The featured table area is much bigger and is no longer relegated to just the corner of that room. As such, the upper stage you can rail from is now much bigger as it now sits on all sides. The TV setup was being worked upon when I was there but it had an even bigger stadium feel than last year. There was a metal tunnel at the end of it. I look forward to the introduction/celebration shenanigans that may occur because of it. SO EXCITED!

Are the 1A/1B 1ks (such as next saturday/sunday) re-entry if you bust 1a?

Who the heck actually wears the wrist band? - I just keep mine in my wallet and show it the few times it is requested coming back from breaks.

I come in from the East Coast, so I am usually up early the first couple of mornings I am there - I find there is no line at all early in the morning. (Like before 9 AM.)

Also, that is a good time to get a couple of extra Total Rewards cards - put one away with your driver's license, so when you go to collect on your winnings you will have one with you.

Have they put online the employee information book, like they did a couple of years ago - that made for some good reading, and good information before getting to the WSOP.

i think someone adressed this earlier, but i need to wire money to the rio and the venetian. is there a minimum amount, and how long does it usually take/how easy is the process? i guess its a bad idea to bring 5-10k onto a plane if im traveling by myself?

long story short, you are safe to carry the money.
short story long, i can PM you info about wiring money, but its usually not necessary to wire money in the 5-10k amount.

I know that for large scores backers have to fill out a 1099 in order to receive 100% of their shares and pay taxes on their own. What about for backers from outside the USA, in this case England?

tried looking, but couldn't find anything. since the wsop technically 'opens' today, does that mean the cash tables are up to? any rough estimates on when cash action starts moving over to the rio?
