The new 27$ KO that just went off seems great with 3k starting stack etc, got a ****load of runners but seriously, cant have the rake so high...

$16k prizepool with bounties and purse combined. That's 4x GTD and a pretty promising start.

But yeah, is this $2.45 rake a misclick?! How can it be more than all of the other $27's in the lobby?

Yeah i reg'd it without noticing the rake. Amazing mtt but that rake…seriously?

And the funny thing is they rake it that extra 5 cents for no reason meaning uneven buying:knockout ratio.

Makes zero sense to have one dollar rake on regspeeds and more than double that in turbos. Comannnnnn guys don't be morannnnns

simple solution is not to play them. Which is what I'm reluctantly doing, despite being a huge PKO fan.

well yeah, it's only a solution if ten thousand fish also decide to boycott them. The reality is Stars could rake an $11 MTT at $8+$3 and the majority of the player base would either not notice or not care.

I dont see a problem with the rake if your a good player you have an edge over the bounty portion of the prizepool not only the regular prizepool so how is $2.45 on a $27 buyin such a big deal? If anything the old rake was way too low and stars realized it.

lol yea im trolling. Both times i won the old $27 pko it was for $1500-$1600 when first was only $600, id say not paying any rake on the bounty prizepool was a pretty sweet deal.

Not patting stars on the back there is plenty of problems with their schedule but 9% rake in PKOs is not one of them.

Bryan finally gives us a date and new MTTs we've been wanting...

and our price was full on doubling of rake.

When can we expect the Sat SKO to increase the rake by $12/player?

yea just noticed too, clearly shows Turbo in the title but if u filter out Turbos it's still in the lobby

In the main lobby they don't appear to have a speed label, at least not in PS7.

Anyway I'm taking my ball home and refusing to play, in the vain hope that these things won't be a huge success and they'll consider reducing the rake.

It's not a mistake. The 180-man $11 regspeed SNGs were converted to PKOs months ago and the rake was set at $5.05+$5+$0.95. A few of us assumed it was an oversight, and kicked up a fuss in the MTSNG thread, but it was a deliberate move and the games are a huge success so they've obviously taken it as a green light to raise rake across the board.
