Being outside with your shirt off on a cold night must be the international symbol that you are white trash and ready to party.

It's always warm in my apt so I often don't wear a shirt. I was just outside checking the steaks on my grill when some chick was walking by - mid-30s, not horribly ugly but wearing some baggy clothing so hard to tell her size. Then this convo happened as she was walking by:

her: "Wow pretty late for a BBQ, you don't have to work tomorrow?"
me: "um just cooking some steak"

her: "you smoke some green? want to get a bottle of wine?"
me (still processing her statement): "uh... no I always eat this late, I pretty much cook all my food on the grill"

her: "that's not what I asked"
me: "... I'm ok"

her: "I know you're okaaay"

She lingered a bit then finally walked off. Thing is about a minute later I really started thinking about hitting that. Real big wildcard on her body though. Also I was scared she'd come back and steal all my stuff someday.

you played it fine imo

Suzzer: Yoiur spidey sense saved your life. She wasn't right by all means.
11-23-2009 , 02:10 AM
No ****. But it's been awhile. I mean it's kind of nice when it's just presented to you like that and you know you'll have to put in zero effort and probably have some crazy sloppy sex. Hopefully not catch anything or get killed or robbed yeah. But hey, sex is risky business.

A few months ago I pulled a suzzer and was grilling late night with my shirt off, had to light the grill with a match b/c the pilot wouldn't light, and forgot to turn down the propane knob down before I dropped the match. I was holding the match about 6 inches from the grill, still in my hand, when the good puddle of propane I was standing in caught flame and burnt all the hair off my left arm, my chest, burnt off most of my facial hair, seared my eyebrows and the middle of my hairline. Didn't hurt when it happened but I was in super pain for about the next 12 hours.

re: working out stuff, the best cardio imo that I do is jump rope. you can do it in the comfort of your own room/house, and a jump rope costs $6 at wal mart. and for some reason people who can't jump rope seem to be mesmerized by your overwhelming talent of being able to jump up and down in place.

I have a little grill. Also I know how to light it w/o injuring myself.
11-23-2009 , 04:12 AM
who doesn't know how to jump-rope?

If I'm lucky I can jumprope for 15 seconds before i **** it up.
11-23-2009 , 06:44 AM
Jumprope requires you to do two things at the same time, which is simply unpossible for men, unless they're the gheeys. [insert boxing training vid]

Meh I was a 'real program' guy just out of HS and can confirm that lacky's analysis of the situation is pretty much spot on. Especially considering that I'm Canadian and snow, slush and **** are just around the corner. I used to hit the ymca at 5:45am mon-fri religiously, i'm just not the same person anymore.

p90x is better than nothing, gonna give it a shot.
11-23-2009 , 08:00 AM
I mean p90x isn't terrible it's just inferior to any real lifting program + a bit of cardio. And if it's the best thing you can do because of equipment access agoraphobia or whatever then by all means do it.

I just skimmed through one of the Ab-ripper programs and it defo looks disgusting lol. Time to give it a gogogo I may or may not be puking in 20mins.
11-23-2009 , 09:56 AM
I read quantum mechanics to my muscles to confuse them. Works just as good as p90x.
11-23-2009 , 10:00 AM
I'm pretty sure I just spent 17 out of the 20 mins looking like a small beached whale squirming around on my floor. The current state of affairs is way worse than I thought :s

No shirt >>>>> a shirt that catches fire and who investigates the flammability of their shirt before grilling? Just sayin, no shirt is no big deal. Eye protection would be a lot more crucial if you're picking safety equipment. Grilling goggles?

The girl is not going to come back and rob you. If she steals from you it would be on the way out in the morning. Why would your place be any better to break into just because you hit it? Because she saw all those Bearer Bonds and gold bars lying around your living room?

Your only concerns should have been being stuck hanging around with or having to throw out someone you don't like.

What's the general opinion in America of the upcoming climate change summit in Copenhagen? And what do people generally think about the climate change bill and its slow passage through the senate?

Any thoughts Jay?

I should have an opinion, but I haven't really been paying attention. I don't know the specifics of this treaty, but if it's anything like Kyoto, the countries that were in compliance anyway will stay in compliance and those that weren't won't change. At least that's what I heard on the radio one time.

So is it not getting much media coverage over there?
