After seeing Moon not do anything too crazy in the coverage leading up to the FT, he played terribly yesterday. Shoving with no FE and ace high was wow, then c/r to 15 mill and folding to a shove for 6 more, geez. Luck sack.

Steve played two hands poorly that I know of, but was still in a great position to be right in the thick of it 6 handed. That river ace was so gross. fml. Begs ran bad for a change, and his seat draw with c/l Buchman and cada on his left didn't help.

I don't necc agree with that. We may never really see him again if he wins. I think Cada may do more for poker than Moon. Hard to say tho. xxdan, your right but he is good for new fishes to play but I am not sure he will endorse poker, especially online poker

Not really. He's not going to do any promotion. And he's so bad I think people will think the whole thing is just a crapshoot and get discouraged. Cada I think at this point will be much better for the game.

I'll go out on a limb and say that it doesn't matter a lot...

Every year there is an argument who should win the ME because he'd be "so good for poker/the games" and every year there is no big change. The Moneymaker Effect is not going to repeat anytime soon imo.

If you think about the argument "Ivey won the Main Event, poker is obviously a skillgame" you should realize how stupid that is... (hint: a field of almost 7000 people...)
