Forgot about Moon saying he folded QQ. It's sad that he made more in that tourney than I'll make in my entire life. It also sucks that he's taking 5 million out of the poker economy to live in his Wyoming hut and drink creek water.

I didn't want to be the first to gossip. I think FD should be outed partly for gossip value and partly as an object lesson.

Did I ever mention that SuitedSixes disappeared owing me $4k?

Yeah WTF? I think he was embarrassed and didn't want ppl to know what he had. But folding QQ there would be way more embarrassing than his actual play. Plus, he said that he didn't want to know how much more it was to call because he was either going to call or fold and the amount doesn't matter. Wat?

This. I had no clue some **** when down. He could've gotten on AIM and had some non 0% chance of me sending him cash.

The FD saga makes me sad.

I've been to some pretty low points with poker and the one thing I've found is that there are a lot of people here that will help you through it but you have to be honest and up front with them.

Running away from a bad situation and debt is incredibly shortsighted. You can ditch out and screw someone only once but you'll burn bridges with people that would have gone out of their way to help you for years and years.

I searched and couldn't find anything. It's weird reading some of his "inspirational" posts knowing it's just all smoke and mirrors.

ICM doesn't take in account that a short stack will not get any/many folds from bigger stacks who are priced into calling you with ATC when you shove.

--------------

Forget what everyone else says, unless the FT broadcast was much different than hand for hand play, Cada played terribly imo. I guess the secret to taking down the ME is the same as every other donkament, run like hawtfiya. The AQ fold HU by Cada was particularly atrocious imo. The AJ call by Cada was also pretty terribad too imo. How the **** do you not get J9o in HU on a T98 board? You have ~43% equity vs TP FFS. HU specialist???? Dunno guess he was nervous, and he has $8.5M and I am some rando, so hats off to the man. I don't think Darvin played that bad HU, he is getting alot of heat for the QJs hand, but seriously, I ain't folding that **** to some knuckle head that 4 bet shoved 22 earlier with the price he was getting.

I was really disappointed in Schulman, who I expected to make a pretty good run on the FT, but basically just knitted it up and folded himself off the table. Ivey did good all things considered since he had 5% of chips going into FT.

Oh yeah **** YOU YAHOO FOR RUINING THAT **** FOR ME. Would have been pretty crazy to see this idiot run up from ~1M in chips to TiD. I gotta agree with DitchDigger that I should just watch the FT on the internet next year.

Edit: also, best broadcast coverage I remember for FT.

I hope for you that that will not be true. A lifetime of work is quite a long period.

We lived together in vegas a couple years ago adn became (what I thought) were good buddies. He had a brand new lexus hybrid that he let me drive more than he drove it, nice clothes, would buy his wife jewelry, playing in wsop events, posting winning graphs, etc. Grinding a ton @ the house and letting me sweat him to learn cash , blah blah blah

One day later in the summer when I was playing an event he wasnt, he asked if he could play on my party account. It was the site he first played on , nostalgia, thought games might be softer, and all these factors would motivate him to grind.

I came back home over 12 hours later to shower / get cvhanged to go out for the night, hes still playing. I get home wasted @ 6 am, hes still playing. When I woke up the next day there was 6k in my account, not exactly the kind of BR necessary to play the 500/1k sngs. He would have had to chase up SUPER SUPER high compared to his normal stakes to lose that much money

He sent me 5k back shortly after getting home from the series on PS and then kind of vanished, quit posting on the forums, didnt respond to my messages here or on facebook. I think the fact that he sent 5k indicated that it was never his plan to just screw me, which is about the only silver lining on the whole situation.

Other 2p2ers who can come forward at their discretion ITT have approached me saying they shipped him on X site and he didnt pay back ,o r they lent him a couple K cash that summer which they also didnt see. I lost a $5k bellagio chip, and after everythings that happend I sometimes wonder if that was really the case.

Months later he wrote a sob story about his investments tanking, his wife may leave him, and a timeline plan to pay me back. Payments would be smaller while he was grinding the lowerstakes to allow him to move up and pay it off more aggressively when he was winning @ his old rate. This was a huge step in the right direction but sadly the plan as it was written never materialized, just more empty words.

A few months after this, a good friend of mine and well known 2p2er was pm'd by FD asking for a stake!! His message talked about the hard times he had fallen on and obv failed to mention the tens of thousands he owed to tons of other 2p2ers. Luckily the potential staker mentioned the offer to an ex-housemate of mine who knew what was up with Nate. I cannot imagine Nate's mind was working properly when he thought up the plan to solicit stakes from a community where he had screwed tons of us, but who knows.

Since then, I think Ive received $900 from him in random 50/100 transfers here and there. Communication has been an absolute joke, its on his whim, and he often ignores specific requests or questions I have. Its been super upsetting to deal with, especially because of how understanding/patient I have been and the disrespect I am still shown.

The reason people are clueless as to what this is about is bc I havent posted it or really shared it with many ppl outside of close friends. First of all, Nate and I were tight as I said and I had hoped the friendship would exist after he paid back his degen money. Second, I felt that even if the friendship was shot, I wasnt going to accelerate the process by smearing his name on the forums. Third, I am really not the gossipy type - but in hindsight maybe posting it would have been good in case he ever contacted people from this forum for loans , stakes or w/e
11-11-2009 , 06:08 AM
Wow, nice to see that you didn't plaster his name everywhere in typical 2p2 fashion.

****ty situation though, probably not a whole lot you can really do.
11-11-2009 , 06:18 AM
sigh, crappy situation and unfortunately nothing we haven't seen before. It is definately correct to post, as often once the downward spiral begins it will go on till they can't find anyone willing to give them money anymore.

Just received an email that my highest bid for the Chrysler will not be granted by the selling party...so tilting..fml.

I lived w/ Scotty and FD and Blackize and Velocity in vegas and found out about the Party account thing a while ago. It still makes me sad. I have to think something went horribly wrong in a meth addict sort of way. I hope in some way that he went to med school and will pay you back that way. Perhaps a fantasy.

I only lost money for a couple of t-shirts to him.

I just feel pity more than anything else for these people.

Since I've never met any of you guys IRL I'm probably pretty detached from the real culture, but I've never gotten the whole "hey can i play on your account" thing. Seems like a situation that's rarely beneficial for either party.
